POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

two years of Spiraling today. ❣️

this EP came to be while working on a now-scrapped mixtape i was desperately trying to finish. those mixtape songs have since been released in one way or another, though i almost gave up on them after my new laptop unexpectedly broke, and i realized i’d have to majorly backtrack or start over on a lot of them. instead of wallowing in defeat, i decided to whip up a new EP in just a month’s time. the fastest i’ve ever pulled a project together, and my favorite body of work.

the four Spiraling songs were completed in march ‘24, and released less than two months later. i stopped overthinking everything and just made songs. i’d improvise lyrics on the spot, or write them on receipt paper at work. i created deadlines for myself and stuck to them. i was listening to lots of miss kittin and the hacker, early m.i.a., crystal castles, daft punk. i had a clear vision in mind and went with my instincts.

i’ve slowed down a bit since 2024 to live life, but i’m still here. glad u all are too. thank you for still loving these songs. excited to eventually put out more gritty dance pop for yr listening pleasure - might be a while, but with patience i will deliver for U❣️🌀 by @velvet_dreaming

ALONE (SO COLD) / FEEL ALIVE OUT NOW. these are two of my favorite pop songs i’ve written, they’ve been a staple in my live sets for nearly two years. i’ve grown a lot since they first came into fruition — these songs came before Spiraling EP existed, my voice is actively changing & my production style slightly has, too — but i’m glad the time finally felt right to share. big love to u all, enjoy <3 by @velvet_dreaming
