My first season of racing = DONE!

What a whirlwind it’s been and here are the stats:

Starting with 0 points on a Cat 4 license.
Finishing with 20 points on Cat 3.
19 crits with 2 podiums.
4 TTs with 1st place road bike in all of them.
1 2UP TT 1st place road bike (thanks @joe_house90).
2 hill climbs placing 2nd and 3rd as Veteran.
1 road race.

Forever grateful for all the support on social media from my followers, my personal sponsors, Venture racing team + sponsors my coach Adam at 54/11 and Ady at FSB

Next stop home.

Early start as the pub was calling.

Set off from Leeds ice arena around 8am, bit chill in the air which can’t complain about the over 2 days were better then expected for the time of year.

@jack_r_davey was there to meet Glen and I, with supplies ( back up bottle and an extra tube after the faff of the previous day)

The route was the easiest of the 3 what only one real climb which was over and done in the first 2 miles. And well you could say it was all latterly down hill with a tail wind.

On arrival we was greeted by representatives from both Andy’s and mnd and most of all family.

So that’s it done

Big thanks to @velotooluk, @fincci.bike, Jack and everyone who donated

Yorkshire 3 Peaks Cyclocross. One of the most brutal, ridiculous, brilliant days on the calendar.

Steve put a big shift in and got round in under 5 hours. Some achievement, and it's lit the fuse to get in amongst it again next year.

Cross season is here.

Calder Divide Trail 2026 - @yorkshiredivide

Decided to bash the short gravel route out in a day but it didn’t take long to be reminded of how relentless some of the off road sections are.

With a very wet and windy start I pushed on and it wasn’t long until my brain was vibrating in my skull, arms, hands and back all hurting on the rough stuff.

Later in the day I was treated to some welcome sunshine but 18mph head winds at some of the course’s toughest sections got in my head and all I could do was swear out loud 🤣

Despite all of this I had an absolute blast again. The event was sold out this year and had double digits on a waiting list.

Adrian puts so much thought and effort into these events which are themed around our beautiful county and you even get to know the history surrounding the areas covered on route.

Huge thanks to Adrian, Helen and all the support team who make these intimate events so special.

See you again soon!

Hill climb season is back.

And you'll find us dropping watts and laying in grass verges tasting blood.

See you there!
