Hey y’all! Here with my monthly mutual aid post! ✨

In need of having my bills settled ASAP! Priorities are my electric bill and grass cutting expense (grass was cut a few days ago!) The city took care of MOST of my nearly $5,000 electric bill through grants last month! YES, YOU READ CORRECTLY - NEARLY $5,000. I’m left with taking care of $485 by Friday!

FYI: If you send through Venmo, that’s where my overdraft is!

My grand total is $1,450! The sooner I take care of this, the sooner I can get moving forward on my Fall plans! Please circulate widely if you can! If you’re able to give, thank you! Any eyed and movement on this is appreciated!☺️ by @venuskiithomas

I remember the song I was responding to. “Mercy Mercy Me” by Marvin Gaye. Heartbreaking to hear an album like “What’s Going On” and have it remain relevant as fuck. taken in Baltimore, Maryland by @venuskiithomas

Petal 3 🪷 :: I passed by this theater on a walk yesterday. I am always passing this theater actually. History is repeating itself. Good history. Because I know I’m going to perform in this theater one day.

I can’t run away from the theater/theatre. It’s always served as cornerstones, milestones, checkpoints, trainings, graduations, etc. at different points in my life. The Strand is small. So? It’s still a theater. And a theater is a pulpit.

There’s a sign in the window that lists all who, and what, are welcome. It includes “all beliefs.” And I believe theater is a pulpit. So it means I’m welcome there. And I will be there.

The pathway to the next theater, to any theater, is one I will create. taken in Baltimore, Maryland by @venuskiithomas
