”We meet at the studio at a time when not a single painting for the upcoming exhibition “BLICK” at Haverkampf Leistenschneider Gallery is finished, but the painter has already started most of them. Canvases, small formats, hang close together, each in a different stage of completion. Stefan Hirsig does not paint one picture after another, but rather in parallel, with every idea, every approach, every thought, every memory pushing forward, each canvas its own cosmos. Where to begin when everything is there at once?

In an initial chaos of nothingness that needs to be sorted out mentally, only two stripes of color can create structure, depth, and space. A blue stripe suggests a horizon, a flowing gray a first gesture, still without a destination. And from that first supposed structure, a new abstract chaos emerges, made up of shapes and colors that are partly organic, partly collage-like, overlapping and then exposed again. And then, little by little, something figurative develops from all of this. Faces, people, hands become clear, seeming to find their way in these living worlds. (…)“

Wo früher Brötchen über die Theke gingen, wird heute Kunst serviert: Im ehemaligen Backshop entsteht ein Raum für Genuss, Überfluss und kritische Blicke.

Feast your eyes this Saturday from 6-9 pm at Brunnenstr. 107 - we will have Brötchen, Bretzels and Baguette - all served in oil on linen. Our group show "Backshop" takes place in a former bakery/kiosk and brings together eleven art-works that deal with the most fundamental substance of life: food.

In collaboration with @office_impart, Studio Hanniball presents a duo exhibition featuring Henri Haake and Seungjun Lee. Two artistic positions meet, each exploring the fleeting nature of memories and moments from different perspectives - Haake as the gallery artist represented bu Office Impart, and Lee as an independent curatorial invitation by Studio Hanniball.

The exhibition focuses on the tension between the ephemeral and the lasting. It revolves around those transient scenes that imprint themselves on our memory - sometimes sharply defined, sometimes only as fragments. Memories that shift over time, overlap, and reassemble into new forms.

The exhibition IN/SU/LA 24/25 has arrived in Rome! After a wonderful first stop at @hoto_gallery in Berlin, we are excited that the second opening took place at @materia_gallery_rome , where the works will be on view until July 18, 2025. 🇮🇹✨
