Site survey doneplete! Military Veterans and members from @verticalvetsrocks stopped by the new @sportrock rock climbing gym in Lorton, Virginia this weekend for some sends. Just 15 minutes away from Fort Belvoir, the recently-constructed facility focuses on bouldering, while the other Sportrock gyms across Maryland and Northern Virginia provide options for top roping and lead climbing, in addition to bouldering.

We were grateful to have Jordan from the @sportrock instructor cadre teach our members the basics of crack climbing last night during our weekly meetup in Alexandria.

@verticalvetsrocks partners with SportRock to host a variety of clinics, which provides enrichment and new skills to our team of active duty, reserve, guard, and Veteran climbers.

What a great turnout for our first joint meetup with @teamrwb at @sportrock Sterling last week! We’re expanding beyond Alexandria and Gaithersburg to now include monthly @verticalvetsrocks climbing sessions in Sterling, Va. These efforts have made it all more impactful for members by adding meetup locations closer to their homes and bases.

Here’s a quick summary of our weekly and monthly schedule:
