“A man’s heart plans his way, But the Lord directs his steps.” Proverbs 16:9 We plan our days, our years, and our lives, but as we all know life has other plans. I recently found out that I unknowingly suffered a fracture in my knee in the first quarter of last week’s game that will cause me to miss the rest of the season. Just when things felt like they were starting to fall into place, they fell out of place. I would be lying if I said I wasn’t hurt, angry, and confused as to why this was happening. How could God bless me with such a great opportunity just for it to be taken away? Why now? I’ve barely slept and thought, pondered, prayed, and scratched my head. And I still haven’t fully understood and it may take me a while to understand the way I am intended to. I don’t know what is next, but I do know there is always a next step. In times like this it is important to remember and lean into this verse from 2 Corinthians 5:7 “For we walk by faith, not by sight.” It is easy to have faith when you are winning, when you are successful, when your life seems to be going according to plan. But can you have faith when your plan is upended? When everything seems to be falling apart? When you can’t even see the plan? When the plan is upended, God doesn’t just call us to sit and do nothing. We don’t sit by faith. We WALK by faith. We gather our things, those around us, and most importantly ourselves and we WALK BY FAITH, not seeing what is in store for the future, but trusting that a good future is there. When the plan changes and the distance is unknown, we must walk by faith knowing that just because we can’t see God’s plan for us, does not mean He doesn’t have a plan for us. And although it is hard to see, it is often a far better plan than we could’ve imagined. So if you read this far I want you to know that whatever you are dealing with, the greatest thing you can have isn’t bought, built, or made in a factory. But it is your faith in God and His Son, Jesus Christ. It will carry you further in life than any car or any dollar amount. Because with that faith in God we know that in life, in any situation where we may put a period, God puts a comma. taken in Porvoo, Finland by @verzuhtility

Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: “Whom shall I send, And who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.” Isaiah 6:8 🏴 #porvoonbutchers #vaahteraliiga #internationalfootball #porvoofinland #jenkkifutis taken in Kuopio, Finland by @verzuhtility
