Yeh bandook wale, inka toh kaam hai goli chalaana! Toh yeh chalayenge, hum gaane bajaane wale hain! Humaara kaam hai geet gaana, toh hum gayenge!✨

I got a fortunate chance of meeting Imtiaz Ali at his office during the time of chamkila's release, and apart from my excitement about meeting him, I was enchanted by the place itself, I have a thing for places with it's own personality, the place was similar to his movies, comforting, well aged and truely something that you keep within yourself after you leave, and in middle of all this there was a pinboard I saw where whole life of Chamkila and Amarjot was spread out on, I was in awe of how hard they have worked for the research, from his childhood to uprising and beyond all was there! And that ignited my chull to trace down the locations for the same and go and see for myself what it looks and feels like, and all thanks to @_vinkit_ 's parents and their shared love for travelling and chamkila, after alot of hit and trials we eventually landed up at the location, whenever I have to travel for "content" I am destined to find more than that during the process, The people, the memories and more than that, Stories, and here as we we were fortunate enough to find Chamkila's Dearest friend Manku Ji there and he welcomed us with such warm presence and told us stories I don't think others would know, he was there when things went south and got to know first person pov of that day, I am really grateful that I get to experience such fulfilling experiences by travelling and finding such stories all under the guise of just content creation! Fills up my souls every single time❤️

We love you @imtiazaliofficial

Tag the person you would bunk a day of college with, and tell us which of these corners of Delhi holds your love story.

Every love story in this city has an address. A tomb you bunked college for, a ruin you loitered in while waiting for life to begin, a Metro line you stayed on long after your stop.

When @vibeshwar showed me his photographs of Delhi as the movies remember it, I realised he had been collecting the places we all fell in love in. So I wrote about them. Seven films, seven corners of the city, and the versions of ourselves we left behind in each one.

Jatin, thank you for letting me borrow your eye for a while. Go follow him for more of Delhi and Bollywood, one frame at a time.

Delhi gives you a thousand places to fall in love. Which one was yours? by @vibeshwar

The lost art of supporting characters having depth and their own lives.

I was rewatching Vicky Donor the other day and it was just another fun mainstream romcom with a middle class family backdrop, but I noticed something that I don’t get to see often in mainstream commercial films anymore. Supporting characters having a life of their own. Their own moments, conversations, problems, memories and relationships that have little or sometimes nothing to do with the protagonist’s journey. Moments without which the movie can easily progress, but which make the characters feel like actual people rather than just characters written to aid the hero’s journey.

This scene is such a beautiful example. Vicky comes back home late at night after a party and finds his mother, Dolly ji, completely sloshed and fast asleep on his bed. In her drunken, half-asleep state, she starts talking about how Vicky’s father snores so much that she gets fed up and comes to sleep in Vicky’s room, and how he comes to apologise and convince her to come back. The beautiful and heartbreaking part is that she talks about it as if it is happening right now. As if her husband is still around, still snoring in the other room, still coming to get her. Vicky’s father passed away when Vicky was a child. After his death, Dolly ji took on the responsibility of raising Vicky and became the loud, unapologetic West Delhi Punjabi mom we know her as in the film. But in this tiny moment, we see the woman behind that character. A wife, a woman, someone who had a life before all those responsibilities. And Vicky just listens to her calmly, because he understands what she’s going through.

There’s another little moment where Dolly ji and Dadi are drinking together and talking about life, about everything Dolly ji has done and put into raising Vicky, and how much of those efforts have gone unappreciated. Again, none of this is really necessary for the plot. The film could easily move ahead without these scenes, but then we wouldn’t get to know these people the way we do.

Saiyaara matlab... taaron mein ek tanha taara... khud jalke jo roshan karde jag yeh saara✨

Saiyaara felt like a reminder of what we've been missing—a Mohit Suri love story that makes you feel every emotion with its music, silence, and heartbreak.

Krish and Vaani's story wouldn't have been the same without Mumbai. From the streets of South Bombay to quiet corners where they found each other, the city became as much a part of their love story as they did.

So we spent the day finding and revisiting the places where it all bloomed. Hope this brings you back to the film for a moment. ❤️

If you enjoyed this, do share it around. And if it reaches @mohitsuri, @ahaanpandayy and @aneetpadda_ , that would mean the world.

1 Year of Saiyaara ❤️

If love stories had an address in Delhi, it'd probably be Hauz Khas. ❤️

Collecting little pieces of cinema from the streets that have been the backdrop to so many unforgettable love stories. Maybe that's why every walk around Hauz Khas feels strangely familiar.

𝙈𝙖𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙪 𝙥𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙢𝙞𝙡𝙖𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙞...(𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙨𝙚 𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙮 𝙢𝙖𝙙𝙚 𝙪𝙨 𝙨𝙖𝙮)❤️

There are films you admire, and then there are films that quietly become a part of you. Manmarziyaan has always been that film for me.

Funny enough, it stands completely opposite to my own morals. I disagree with almost every decision Vicky, Rumi and Robbie make. Yet, I can never stop loving it. Maybe that’s what makes it so special. Nobody is entirely right or wrong. They’re just beautifully flawed, carrying their own manmarziyaan. And somehow, you end up finding a little bit of all three in people around you.

Finding these locations felt almost impossible. There were no guides, no articles, no obvious landmarks. Even after tracking some of the most obscure filming locations over the years, this one refused to be found.

Until New Year’s in Amritsar.

While rewatching the film one last time, @_vinkit_ spotted the name of a tiny shop written in Gurmukhi. Thanks to her being able to read Punjabi, we finally had our first clue. One clue became a conversation, one conversation became another, and eventually… we were standing outside Rumi’s house.

What made the day unforgettable wasn’t just finding it. The family welcomed us inside, showed us every room, the rooftop, the balconies, and shared stories from the shoot as if they had been waiting to tell them. Before we left, they made us eat New Year’s sweets too.

Couldn’t have asked for a better way to begin the year.

Thank you, Anurag Kashyap, for creating a film that refuses to fit into boxes, and somehow finds its way back into our hearts every single time.

Here’s to revisiting the place where one of our favourite films came to life. ❤️

Delhi has a strange way of weaving itself into your love story.

Maybe it's because this city never makes it easy. The roads are crowded, the air is heavy, plans fall apart, and nothing ever runs on time. Yet somehow, people still find ways to love each other here.

It's in sharing silences at Triveni Kala Sangam and not feeling the need to fill them. It's holding hands in the back of an auto while Delhi blurs past in yellow lights. It's walking through Deer Park at dusk, buying her jhumkas from Janpath, gajras from Dilli Haat, or saying, "I know a place," and ending up somewhere you've both already been a dozen times, but it feels different because you're there together.

It's wandering around CP at midnight looking for food and always ending up at Jain Chawal Wale. It's wanting to get her everything she points at. It's remembering how she takes her coffee and wishing you could somehow get her favourite one from Juggernaut even at 4 in the morning. It's there head on your shoulder after a bad day, and realizing there are some comforts no city, no money, no grand gesture can buy.

Delhi has a peculiar way of becoming a witness to love. The metro stations, the cafés, the parks, the streets you've crossed a hundred times before, they quietly collect pieces of your story. Years later, you don't just remember the person; you remember the city exactly as it felt when they were beside you.

Maybe that's why being in love in Delhi stays with people. Because beneath all its noise and chaos, it's a city that teaches you that love is rarely found in perfect moments. It's found in missed turns, long rides home, shared meals, familiar routes, and all the ordinary days that become unforgettable because they were shared with someone.

This edit is an ode to every Delhi love story.

To the ones that lasted, the ones that didn't, and the ones that still live somewhere between a metro ride, a late-night drive, a café table, and a city that knows more about us than we will ever admit. ❤️ taken in Delhi, India by @vibeshwar
