NEW VIDEO!!! LINK IN BIO!!!
I headed out to @vicious_sloth in Malvern today to check out the store since I hadn’t been there in a few years. The last time I did, I dropped a ton of money on amazing records. Maybe that’s why I didn’t go back… cos I knew I would again 😂

This store rocks! I show what’s on offer and then I reveal my haul. Enjoy the video and thanks for watching.

Thanks Peter.

Okay the major tidy up is nearing completion so it's time to post some new stuff.
Yesterday we entertained BRYAN McG who is visiting Australia as stage manager on the current DAMNED Tour. Their shows have been great and it was a real blast to once again have Bryan visit the shop.
He knows exactly what is missing from his collection and found one of the more significant items today.
The BABEEZ record still had an original Archie and Jugheads price tag attached to the sleeve for historic provenance, had the numbered sleeve and the page from the Uncle Scrooge comic.
Among other things he also made a fun purchase with the CAPTAIN SENSIBLE picture disc, what else!?
Great to catch up as always.
Until next time. Safe travels. 😀

It's not every day that a copy of this record comes into the shop. In fact we've had very few copies turn up since we initially had the first Eddy Current Suppression Ring release in 2004.
This E.P. was issued in limited numbers however we have just acquired a copy on colured vinyl. We know of the yellow and blue copies but this one doesn't seem to be documented.
If it were a Fender Guitar custom colour then it would probably resemble what they call 'sage green'.
A beautiful record and killer tracks.
Guaranteed to make one collector very happy!!!

It has been a very busy month of tidying and processing in the Sloth house so there was no August update to the home page, but believe us when we say that tons of new stuff has gone out in store.
Among all of this we are still finding lots of new customers including overseas visitors who are BIG music fans.
A most pleasurable couple of hours was spent with JON CORNICK @joncornickimages who has been in Melbourne producing the most recent Dan Pritzker project, "FOG CITY".
Jon has worked on numerous bigtime film and TV projects including as producer on Pritzker's, "Bolden", a biographical drama about the life and legacy of early jazz pioneer, Buddy Bolden. So you would be right in getting the idea that Jon is somewhat of a music tragic.
He has seen THE GRATEFUL DEAD 300+ times, and is friends with @theblackcrowes, for whom he produced "The Black Crowes Brothers of a Feather Live at The Chapel in 2021". Consequently we had a most entertaining and enlightening afternoon with Jon on Saturday whose music interests are vast.
Thanks for making the effort to drop by, we wish you all the best and safe travels. Until next time. 😃

Things are always changing around here.
One thing you need to do is be adaptable and flexible.
Friday night was always the big night at Vicious Sloth.
It's fast becoming all day Saturday and there seems to be a lot of excitement generated in the shop with many new customers coming through to see us and find out what we have available.
Recently it was an absolute pleasure to meet one of our mail order customers who lives in London, David Swanwick. @davidswanwick spent some time in the store looking for rarities including, The Police, Pink Floyd and many others.
Whilst chatting we discovered that we had a mutual friend who I first visited in London during January 1983 at his then store Luigi and the Boys. It was an incredible time to look trough record stores back then. As such I have long had a soft spot for Hanway Street and the shop that later became Vinyl Experience. Our mutual friend is none other than Mark Hayward @hayward9284 who has been at the cutting edge of the rare record scene and collectable music memorabilia in the UK for many decades.
We look forward to seeing David again when the opportunity arises. Wishing him safe travels and all the best finding those ever elusive rarities!

Great afternoon yesterday to meet up with Enrico Massimino @massiminoenrico once again after many years.
Enrico first purchased from us through Record Collector Magazine some 35 years ago and has continued his quest to collect as many rare and collectable AC/DC records from all over the world.
Enrico is a highly talented architect and is visiting Australia with his wife who operates @arpepe1860 which is a winery based in the rich, mountainous, northern areas of Italy, close to the border of Switzerland.
We wish them all the best for the remainder of their tour around Australia and we look forward to meeting up with them again; maybe in Italy?

Hailing from Geelong and the Surf Coast are THE RORTS @the_rorts_band , whose debut single is an absolute ripper.
If you buy digital from bandcamp there are four songs available.
Bass player DALE dropped off some copies of their vinyl record which of course sounds as good as you would imagine coming from that part of the world! "Big Decisions" packs one hell of a legendary riff!!!
We have limited stock available instore and with only 150 copies pressed, you better be quick!!!
They have a launch for the record @thetotehotelfc tomorrow, Sunday 2nd August from 3:00pm. Also on the bill are @a.u.d.i.o_band & @bluefur2023 so get along and check 'em out.
Sloth recommended. 🦥😀
