To My Girl,

Tonight you came back to us. 🤍

You were the one who always had the last word, who was never afraid to do your own thing, and who was happiest with water at your paws or a bird in your mouth. You were my Sass Queen, and I know that spark is what gave us 15 beautiful, strong years together.

You walked beside me through so many highs and lows, and I’ll always be grateful for the love and light you gave me and the girls.

Run free now, sweetheart. I’ll carry you with me, always. 🕊️ by @vicky_fisher_92

There’s a kind of calm that only comes from a dog who knows your whole heart. 🤎
She’s my shadow, my soft landing, my built-in best friend — every moment with her is better.

Keeping her happy, healthy and fuelled with Dr John’s dog food because she deserves the very best for giving me her everything. 🐾

A weekend of training, a few mistakes, some lessons learned and plenty of laughs! 🐾😂

Finally getting round to putting some videos up from our weekend away @papermillparkventures

Are these videos perfect? No.
Did I stop Tessa over the dummy? Yes.
Did she do the most perfect straight line over the jumps? No.
Did she pull off the line I sent her on because she winded an old fall? Absolutely! 😂

Was I happy with her reaction to the stop whistle every time? No! But these are raw and real videos. Not every training session is perfect, and I think it’s important to show the good, the not-so-good and everything in between.

There’s always something to learn, something to improve and another challenge around the corner.

I don’t pretend to be an expert. I’m here to gain as much knowledge as I can, learn from others, improve my dogs and, most importantly, enjoy the journey with them. 🐶❤️

Progress over perfection, always!

Test season complete ✔️

Tessa was absolutely ace yesterday. She handled like a dream and took everything in her stride, no matter what bunkers were out there to catch us out!

We finished on joint marks for 1st place, but after a run-off we came away with 2nd 🥈

A big thank you to URC Southern for putting on some great tests yesterday — with the final test taking place on a freshly ploughed field, something most dogs will never have experienced before!

And that brings our 3rd and final test of the season to a close. Despite missing out on a big chunk of the season due to injury, we managed a 3rd, a 1st and a 2nd. Not too shabby 👌

Very proud of this girl ❤️

A truly wonderful evening spent in the company of some inspiring women, brought together by a shared love of the outdoors. 🤍

After a 5am start and a full day of dog training, it was a rather speedy turnaround to swap muddy boots for something a little more glamorous. ✨

A heartfelt thank you to @clairesads and @wildeandglorious for bringing us all together and creating such a beautiful evening.

Here’s to wonderful women, new friendships and many more evenings like this. 🥂 by @vicky_fisher_92

A little something different today 🐑

I headed to the @internationalsheepdogsociety international at @daylesfordfarm and had the chance to watch some incredibly talented dogs and handlers in action.

The skill, focus and connection between dog and handler was seriously impressive — such a special partnership to watch. 🐾

Lovely time in Germany watching Team GB take Gold in the eventing! 🥇🇬🇧

We also managed to fit in some sightseeing, including the incredible cathedral and a visit to the Lindt Chocolate Factory — because when in Germany, chocolate is a must! 🍫😋

A fantastic trip filled with sport, sightseeing and plenty of chocolate! ✨

🎥 Saturday’s video clips 🧡

It was a hot one on Saturday, with very little breeze at times. By this point she’d already had some really good retrieves, including one where she had to hunt a ditch hard and eye wiped another dog, so she was pretty tired by the end. A lot of the dogs were going flat in the heat, so I was really pleased with how she kept pushing on even if she was slower than usual on her return 🥵

1st video:
The end of a blind retrieve. She took some mega lines all day, this being one of them 🧡

2nd video:
Last round, with only 3 dogs remaining.

We’d just watched a driven drive (dummies at the top of the hill), and were then told, “I don’t want those. See that brown cover on the other side of the water? I want a blind from there.”

She was the last dog to go, so this was the last dummy to find in that area. She did pull left of my right hunt, but the visibility around the tree wasn’t the best. I was really pleased with how she held the area once she got into it. She was tired coming back, so I just popped in a recall to hurry her along!

3rd video – last retrieve:
We were then told, “Now pick me one from the drive at the top of the hill.”

She was the only dog to run through the area they'd just picked from and drive on to the top. What you can’t see in the video is just how close another dummy was to the one she picked… and this is where the nerves kicked in. A swap would have been the end of it 🙈 Thankfully, a quick recall was all she needed.

My nerves were awful agyer hardly competing the last 2 years, but Tessa did not disappoint me. So proud of her for keeping going in the heat and finishing the day like this. 🧡🐾
