Behind the performance: Vidisha Ahire ❤️ That opening moment was when I knew @vidisha.xx was the one for Shruti. I cast by instinct. For me, raw talent precedes technical talent. What matters is having the love for art, the heart to be real, the ability to feel a range of emotions and bring them into the character. Vidisha is one person who has nothing but heart, and that shows in the way she gives herself to art. She naturally has that expressive, filmy flair from her dancing and modelling background, but for Shruti, we both knew we had to go in the opposite direction. Watching her begin sculpting her performance away from what came naturally to her has been fascinating. Our rehearsals are very raw. They’re a crucial foundational phase where we come together to not just understand the characters, but to experience them. It means sitting with intense emotions and building the trust to explore them together. There were difficult and vulnerable moments, but Vidisha completely trusted the process and trusted me, and she meant it. That’s one of the reasons I have so much adoration and respect for her. Watching her prepare for Shruti has been one of the most meaningful parts of making Sakhi. And now, in her deepest and truest form, I present Vidisha as Shruti in Sakhi. - Suresh Subash ( @iamsureshsubash ) Sakhi’s First Look, out now! Check pinned post! by @vidisha.xx

A seven-minute first look at SAKHI ❤️ In a world of seven thousand languages, what does it truly mean to listen? Sakhi is an intimate psychological drama that explores the beautiful complexities of womanhood and the humanity within the ways we love, hurt and try to understand one another. Sakhi, a young and ambitious Deaf woman trying to step into a life of her own; Shruti, an elder sister bearing the burden of everyone’s expectations; and Sarita, a mother who has relentlessly dedicated herself to the vow she made to hold their family together. When a traumatic event fractures the delicate balance between them, long-buried truths begin to surface, forcing all three women to confront not only what the others have endured, but how differently the same years have been seen, remembered and carried. Each is forced to look beyond those roles and encounter the women who have always existed beneath them and define what it means to become her own Sakhi. SAKHI | A film by @iamsureshsubash Starring: @ruheebartake, @vidisha.xx, @ais.nair & @being_superman1 A Hindi feature film from Singapore. A NightSky Creatives production. PS: Watch till the end! . . . Every film follows a vision as its North Star. But just as it takes a village to raise a child, filmmaking is a collaborative effort. From its first page to this First Look, and now as we continue making the film, Sakhi has found its life and soul through the artists in front of the camera who believed in these women and the humanity of their lives. Behind the camera, each member of the crew has brought their own passion, skills and craft to the world of Sakhi. Full credits are in the pinned comment below. by @vidisha.xx

Round 2 of getting these legs race-ready. Last year, before my first half marathon, I had my first physio-session with Vidisha from @calibrate.health The shins got better, the run was solid, and I learnt the importance of taking care of the body before it asks you to. This time, I’ve got two big runs coming up. So we’re putting in the work early, recovery, strength, mobility, and everything in between. The races? You’ll know soon. taken in Singapore by @vidisha.xx

Paro decided to reply 🤭 (better late than never) @adityarikhari I’ve been in love with this song for the longest time, and I always wondered… what would Paro have to say? So I decided to write a little reply version…her side of the story in my words 🤍 I don’t really write and mostly just do song covers so I honestly do not know where this came from😂. I’m kind of surprised I managed to put something together that I actually really like 🥹 #singapore #paro #singing #music bollywood (Paro, female version, reply version, love, love songs, Bollywood, Singapore, fyp, trending, adityarikhari, desi, music) by @vidisha.xx
