I don’t even know if people upload selfies or just random images to their instagram anymore! Well I’m taking it BACK!Back to 2016… still in the process, still in the lab, still trying to navigate the world! Boxing is one the things I never thought about doing - never even crossed my mind as a kid! Picked it up at 26 on and off and NOW I do it every week. It’s been a blessing where I get to meet people and join in on the culture - Picking the right boxing gloves is so important to protect yourself and your tools! I see many youngsters, even grown ass men not wearing any gloves or wraps on the heavy bag for training. 😭 I get it, it’s confusing picking the right one BUT wearing these @hayabusacombat protects everything! To create a moody, high-end visual without an expensive rig, all it takes is intentional light placement and atmospheric depth.

By killing the ambient room lights and using a single Spotlight SE as a directional key, you immediately force high contrast and dramatic shaping across your subject.

Pushing haze from a fog machine into the frame catches those harsh photons in mid-air, turning an ordinary beam into a physical, sculpted light cone that cuts through deep, moody shadows.

It proves that compelling cinematography isn't about how many lights you throw into a space—it’s about controlling where the light goes, letting shadows do the heavy lifting, and using a little creativity to craft cinema out of a minimal setup.

Choosing a microphone for your video production can be tricky, so here’s a simple look at the differences between a lavalier and a shotgun mic. 🎙️

Plot twist though: I actually swapped the audio tracks in these scenes. 🤫

Lavalier: Great for cutting out room echo and staying close to the voice, but can pick up clothing rustle.

Shotgun: Sounds rich and natural, but will catch room reflections if your space isn’t treated.
