Perhaps the most well-known symbolic connotation for the olive is peace. In greek mythology it was the symbol of Athena a warrior Goddess, the Goddess of justice and wisdom and protector of arts and literature.

This is a cultural lovechild of the Scottish brownie and the Lithuanian “pinčiukas” - a wee devil you can trust 😊 #edinburghtattooartist #molotov #folkart #illustrativetattoos #illustrativetattoo by @vik.b.tattoo

I love getting wild requests. A skeleton unsuccessfully drinking a coffee while an excited cat drinks it up is up there with the wildest 😅 done at @insidertattoo EDINBURGH. Leith. #customtattooing #edinburghtattoostudio #illustrativetattoo #skeletontattoo #cattattoos by @vik.b.tattoo

I adore how elegant this turned out. A tattoo does not always need to be bold and dense to have an impact. On the last photo you will find a healed dragonfly I did about five years ago. All done freehand 😊 #eleganttattoo #naturetattoo #edinburghtattooartist #finelinetattoo #minimalisttattoo

Traditional Romanian mask. These handcrafted masks were and still are used in pre-Christian customs to ward off evil, ensure fertility and celebrate the seasonal cycle of death and re-birth. They are typically made from sheepskin, fur, wool leather and wood
