The @rossiusa R95 might have surprised Pete with its performance and quality feel!

Check out his review of the under-lever on the range👇🏼

We had the delight of meeting a few of the Rossi team when they flew out to visit Viking HQ the other week.
Andy even treated them to a classic British fish and chip supper!

Took some time out this morning to test some .22lr ammo in the BMR-X. I started out with my usual pick, SK Match, which at 50 meters was grouping quite nicely. I then did 5x10 round groups with each of RWS Subsonic HP, RWS Club, Eley Subsonic HP and Norma Tac 22, which was a box of everything my local RFD had on the shelf when I popped in on Saturday.

The difference between the hollow point and round nosed ammo was clear to see, my rifle really not liking the RWS and Eley. The Norma was probably next best, then the RWS Club, but none of the ammo I tried could match the SK Match.

250 rounds later I stepped back to 100 meters for some practice off my Mjoelner Fenris II aluminium quad sticks. They’ve always been a very stable set of sticks but I was feeling rusty after not been out much with the rifle over summer and it was clear I needed the practice!

With only two matches remaining of the 2026 series it’s time to start planning for 2027!

We are again bringing you four centrefire and four rimfire matches across England, Scotland and Wales, with one of those matches at our new range in the Midlands, bringing NRL Hunter closer to many more of you.

The cost of each match will again be reduced for our Hunter Members and our Community Partnerships are expanding, reducing the overall cost of shooting a match or training day with us through the member’s discount scheme.

We hope you’ll join us in our third year of NRL Hunter UK!

A great day at the Ian Hodge Fieldsports Open Day! 🙌

A big thank you to Ian and the team for having us along. It was great to showcase the Leupold range and give visitors the chance to get hands-on with the optics and put them to the test.

A brilliant turnout despite the British weather! 🌧️🎯

Thanks to everyone who stopped by the stand – we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!

We’ve been getting involved in the @macmillancancer Coffee Morning’s for years!

This morning we brought the team together (over plenty of cake) in support of the brilliant work Macmillan Cancer Support does.

It’s a simple way to get everyone together while supporting a fantastic cause; we’d definitely recommend holding your own Coffee Morning with your team, friends or community.

A big thank you to everyone who got involved (and, of course, to our bakers! 🧁).

There’s a reason the Ruger 10/22 has been a firm favourite for so long — and the Competition model takes a proven platform and sharpens it up nicely. 🎯

Paired with a Leupold UK VX-3 and SK Semi-Auto .22 LR, it makes for a cracking little rimfire setup on the range.

Low recoil, plenty of trigger time and a proper test of the fundamentals. Get settled behind it, find a rhythm and it’s very easy to spend the afternoon chasing tighter groups.

Although a box of 50 never seems to last quite as long as you think…

Last Friday the team attended our third event as part of the Leupold Road Show.

We were invited to the @forest_lodge_guns open day and had a great time, despite the great British weather making a return.

Out there we had a range of scopes on display but mounted to the Anschutz 1761 APR gen2 was a Leupold Mark 4 3x18!

Congratulations to all our Hunters at yesterday’s centrefire NRL Hunter match at Eskdalemuir who all triumphed over a challenging set of hunting based stages.

Thank you to Gardners Guns for hosting us and to the ROs who gave up their time to ensure a safe and well run experience for our Hunters.

Thank you to our Community Partners for your support to our sport.
