In life, our hopes and expectations are often that things will always work out. The way the mind works, we need some kind of end result. My expectation was that I would get home safely because I took the “safe” route home. Even by making the right decision, the end result was not work out the way I planned. Sit and sulk, or turn a negative into a positive. I want to help positively change the lives of others. A big thank you to @amberfreemantv @lilyoberhelman @bloom_tv for bringing me back in the studio. Be sure to check out all of the great work they do and the full interview on their website. What is it?Only sending words in an email that brag about themselves. How to stand out?Record a short video discussing:💥 Who you are and why you are a strong guest💥 The value you can bring to their show💥 Something that stood out from an episode of theirs you listened to If you record this video and add a one sheet and your LinkedIn profile link, expect more hosts to say yes to you!#podcasttips #fyp #viral by @vincentalanci

Part 2! No worries, Part 1 is just a few posts behind. The third tip is the follow up is mandatory. I’ve talked about the follow up on my channel before. People aren’t just waiting for their episode to be released. As it comes out, do a follow-up email. We have a follow-up template here. If you need help, let me know. Let the guests know that their episode is live, give them the link, the cover art, whatever you have, and let them know that you’d love to have them share their story, help share the show. If you’re a beginning podcaster, now is a good time and in the interview to ask for any potential guests who may be a good fit and of course reviews they never heard. Another tip, number four.Make it easy for people to find you. Have a custom website. Have social media. Ideally you want all these things to align, and I’ve talked about this in another post where I didn’t seek feedback, so a lot of mine don’t match up and had a lot of missed opportunities. So as I create more shows, I’m now able to utilize this advice and take advantage of all the amazing listeners that are out there and number five is all you have to do is ask. We talked about feedback. We talk about guests, right? Asking people for help. The same goes for advice and in your network, your mentors, right? Talk about your shows, talk about some of the issues you’re facing. Find a podcast group or networking situation where you can meet people that are also doing the same thing and from there, you’ll quickly improve your show. My name is Vincent A. Lanci and thank you for checking this video out. Be sure to follow to stay current with the next tips. by @vincentalanci

What do you do to improve your mental strength? Was the will to do these things innate or was it something that you had to craft inside you using mental strength because that’s our entire show today is how to use your mental strength to pull your way through life.Without mental health none of this exists. All right, we all have good and bad days, but taking care of up here helps set the rest of the day and I’m a big walker. I take intentional walks throughout the day because I stare at a computer. I start each day with exercise which has much more mental benefits for me than physical benefits and organizing for me helps, time blocking. It sounds silly but before bed I have a whiteboard. It starts at 3 a.m. because that’s when I start. Three to three is my typical day and I have less anxiety. I’m not stressed because I know exactly what I need to do.I don’t go on social media or check emails before I start checking these things off because it keeps me in line and then I get some hours back usually at end of the day.Thank you to @bloom_tv and Producer @lilyoberhelman for always welcoming me in the studio! by @vincentalanci

Learn about the impact Clay is making! We provide educational tools to parents and caregivers of children with disabilities. and a disability may look different depending on the the child themselves so a lot of instances it can actually be trauma related, which you know ties in directly to mental health. Trauma facing children these days is on the increase, whether it’s what they see in school or out of school and so really ensuring that children have those services and parents and caregivers whether that be a foster parent or a grandparent, they need the tools in their hands because of how things have evolved so quickly. Then the third component of our our organization is that we advocate in Tallahassee and locally with our elected officials to ensure that they’re passing laws and policies that not only support children with disabilities, but support their parents because they are the ones who in in a lot of cases are most impacted by the just the laws that are are written and passed in Tallahassee. That’s a little bit about us and our scholarship program is through vetted advocates so they’re certified advocates throughout the state of Florida and if they vet the potential sponsors that are sponsorships that we provide and currently we provide sponsor scholarships to over 19 counties rolling seventy families.A Mental Health Break is streaming on any podcast platform and amentalhealthbreak.com by @vincentalanci

A Sneak Peak for You I was actively killing myself with my binging and purging.I was like, well, it can’t possibly get worse. So for me, it was a place of desperation And within a couple of weeks, my binging and purging completely disappeared. It quieted my brain. It was gone. It was gone and that’s what made me be like, wait a minute. Like, we’re missing something super fundamental for not all, certainly not all, maybe not even most but for a subset of patients that are truly treatment resistant, that keep failing, it points to that we’re missing something in the biology. This medication having such a profound effect on me in a positive way was evidence of that and that just made me start asking all sorts of...Thank you for your courageous and inspiring episode, @paigegordonauthor Enjoy @amentalhealthbreakpodcast anywhere podcasts are found and amentalhealthbreak.com by @vincentalanci

Thank you @abcnews! Lanci suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury and a serious fracture in his leg where he now has a titanium rod. There were months of rehab and he says it took about six years to get his memory back. Vincent met me near the spot where the hit and run crash happened. That road happened to be getting repaved when we stopped by.“…but it doesn’t hit me the way it used to where it would be more traumatic every time.” by @vincentalanci

I’m excited to share five tips I wish I knew before I started podcasting… and the very first one, there will never be a perfect episode. When someone used to knock on the door or the doorbell rang or all of these things, the dog barks, I tried to cut it and play it off and make it like it never happened when in reality it’s a part of life. People like authenticity, play it off as it happens, and as far as your actual edits, that’s contingent on the audio quality and performance of the guest and the host. So sometimes episodes, they’re out of your hands, right? If it’s too much cutting and it doesn’t sound like it’s quality performance to give to your listeners, be sure to reach out to the guest. Explain to them respectfully that in order for you to deliver the best product, we have to redo the episode. A better way to go about this, of course, is in the recording. If you hear them not sounding up to par, stop, explain. It can usually be solved by a computer restart or zoom or riverside restart. Making sure the headphones or mic is plugged in all the way. All these things are easy to take care of. Now I hope that you’re aware you take advantage of this. Second tip, preparing the guest is mandatory, not just for you to be prepared, but for the guest. We use a podcast information sheet and feel free to reach out to our team if you’d like your own. We customize it, podcast cover art, you collect all the information from the guest, and then you also ask, which areas would you like to talk about? That way your guest is providing value, they sound good, they like the way they came out, and they’re willing to share it with their networks because remember, your network is a target listener or they’re not. There’s no hard feelings, but with a guest coming on, now you’re placing yourself strategically inside another network and from there you’re off to the races. The third tip is the follow up is mandatory.Follow for Part 2 coming soon. Any questions? Send a DM. I am here to help. by @vincentalanci
