And honestly, what a good number 7 is.

7 years ago, we landed at 524 Zhongshan Middle Road, all because of a chimney sticking out from the balcony. We put down our roots here, with absolutely no idea what kind of ride we were about to get ourselves into.

It felt a little like dropping our first coin into a machine — spinning the wheel and never knowing what the next round would bring.

But if life really is a lottery, the biggest jackpot we’ve scratched has been the people we’ve met along the way: Chimney team and every single one of you who has walked through our door.

We asked Chimney team to explain our new menu “Comfort Zone”

We thought we’d get flavor analysis, structure breakdowns…
Instead, we got… feelings. Quite a lot of feelings.

Inside: Accept them as naturally as breathing.
Edge: A familiar melody, but with a little trouble hiding inside.
Outside: Time to let a little chaos in.
Return: About looking back.Layered, familiar, almost déjà vu.

So which zone you belong to?
Also no standard answer.

Maybe somewhere inside this menu and between the sips, you’ll find it. Your “Comfort Zone”, my friend.

CHIMNEY 26SS NEW MENU - COMFORT ZONE

When we say “Comfort Zone“, what on earth are we actually referring to?

Ironically, a comfort zone is not really about comfort.
More like what feels known: a flavor we recognize, a familiar pattern we return to without thinking.

Just as ironically, we keep wondering whether to step out of our comfort zone — how far we can go before what once felt unknown or frightening slowly becomes part of our new normal.

Chimney itself - this old house - has always been about breaking the norm.

That is why we chose “Comfort Zone” as the theme for CHIMNEY 26SS MENU, and divided the drinks into four sections:

Inside, Edge, Outside and Return.

To recognize and settle,
to hesitate and lean,
to release and wander,
to reframe and arrive.

There is no right zone. Only where you want to be, right now.
And remember: the moment you step beyond one boundary,
you begin to draw a new one.

Your Comfort Zone, my friends.

Energy elevated and hospitality got a Californian touch when @chimney_hangzhou took over our haus!

blending local flavors with classic foundations, on their first visit to Jakarta @ellenxuzh and @vincy_vv served up high energy pours to a packed room. So cheers to them and you for welcoming them the Jakarta way.
