Y’all ready to dig deep for our final SANTAi Classics vinyl session? We’re thrilled to wrap up this series with not one, but two selects: @vinylheavy and CT Selecta, marking the first time we’ve invited both to this series.

VinylHeavy (aka Afiq) is a familiar and staple name in the +65 and +60 underground music scene, known as a staunch advocate of the hypnotic rhythms and disco grooves of the Malay archipelago and beyond. With his eclectic taste and heavy bag of records, he strives to connect the past with future generations through his music. Currently, he has been teaming up with rare groove maestro Itch for several years, performing together as Heavyitch.

Joining Afiq is Kuala Lumpur’s self-professed wedding DJ, CT Selecta (@nasilauk). She’s ready to bring her versatile selection of rhythms to the turntables. From her early days behind the decks to her influential role at Public School KL and @fono.kl, CT Selecta knows how to keep your feet moving with rocksteady, roots, and a cheeky splash of agogo and cumbia.

If you’re ready to drop the needle on a good time, the reservation link’s in the bio ↑ by @vinylheavy

KAPAL KARAM by @vinylheavy @itch_sg at @theprojectorsg last year, 2023.

Shot this on Pentax 67 and a huge ass flash on Kodak #gold200, Fujifilm #pro160ns & #pro400h . Tbh, I had like a lot of fail shots but it was really fun trying it out and experimenting film and especially a 120 in a club.

The Reptilian Rendezvous:
@theprojectorsg Golden Mile Tower

In the heart of G-Town, a vibrant alley buzzed with an unlikely gathering of reptilians. @aqil.abubakar @allurerecords ,@Sappy.chill and RSBC musicians , each with their own unique sound and style, converged to plan an unforgettable Open House event that would shake the streets of Singapore. Planning out lineups that would fit the bill . After indulging in conversations about their shared passion to spread the music to humans on earth, They decided that the perfect place to do it will be at the usual hang out spot , Projector @ Golden Mile Tower L5 .

_The Unwanted Acrobat_

After the Gathering, Two reptilian musicians went to joo chiat for some coffee.
In the midst of the meeting , One of their long lost Reptilian cousins cycled past and decided to join the conversation . Knowing that The Unwanted Acrobat (aka @vinylheavy) have passion for intergalactic nostalgia and a keen eye on detail , They decided to collab with The Unwanted Acrobat to design for the upcoming event.

_G-Town: Now That’s What I Call Open House_

With their plan in place, the reptilians raised their cups of kopi in a toast to their upcoming Open House. As they sipped, their scaly bodies began to glow, filling the coffeeshop with an electric energy. The Reptilian Revolution had begun, and nothing would ever be the same again.

Stay tuned for more details of the Open House and Music Releases! by @vinylheavy
