We're thrilled to welcome Karla Lamb (she/ella) to the Vulva Gala stage.
A Queer Xicana poet, performer, and community organizer, Karla crafts work that is tender, fierce, and unapologetically alive. As the visionary behind Verse4Verse she knows how to turn a room into a community and a poem into a movement.

⚡️The call is coming from inside the box! ☎️⚡️

🩸A fetal red lip, a hex of REDRUM, a sus amount of tongue💄This 10/16, Detective Gloria Whole checks into the Electrical Box Theater, but doesn’t check out💀

The carpet is cursed, the baby poets are down bad, & the body count is piling up💀

The door creaks open. Sub 1 on his knees, rocking, spitting, repeating:

“Do crime. Look divine. Brains on the floor, box on the mind, the final girl gags on the mic”…🥵 taken in Arts District, Los Angeles by @vinylowl

Been keepin’ this one under wraps 😉... but ready to reveal for the @ecoset reuse contest!♻️

Thank you @ecoset for the amazing find! (But really, WHO was the OG owner of this magical piece and what was it being used for??) These are the questions you’ll ask yourself while browsing rows on rows of recycled gems from commercial and movie sets at Eco Set in LA.🕵️‍♂️

What’s even more exciting is what we transformed this pool noodle vulva into and why!😯

Swipe for the ✋hands on🤚journey and transformation!

At first, we didn’t know what we were going to use this piece for, then an invitation to the Vulva Gala arrived. 💌Glam Slam and A perfect opportunity to give this glorious piece a glow up!✨✨✨

Thank you to the @schoolofsexuality @firstchurchlb and everyone who shared their talents and time for this celebratory, education and vital vulva event! It was so empowering to immerse in embodied conversations about bodies, identity, and lived experience through interactive art, storytelling-based fashion, performances, panels, and community resources. AND the fab famous Vulva fashion show!

📹 See video slide 16!

📸 Did you take a photo in the vulva booth? Tag yourself!

♻️Do you support sustainable practices, Zero Waste goals, integration and deliverables for Los Angeles based commercial productions? Follow @ecoset!

Are you ISO a local queer prop business? Stay tuned! 👋 @vanessacraigslist

Thank you neighbor Tony for the power tools!💪
