Vidushi Gupta, Viola Bozzo, Shachaf Pereg, Jack Evans, and Prorok presented THE DISOWNED, a group exhibition at The Bomb Factory Art Foundation. @thebombfactoryartfoundation The exhibition brought together mixed-media sculpture and installation that revealed the often invisible institutional structures shaping daily life. Featuring ten works made with concrete, metal, sound, and image, the exhibition explored how inherited conditions of existing within systems might be challenged through spatial and material relationships, situating both human and non-human entities within a wider network of forces. Thank you to The Bomb Factory Art Foundation for hosting us, and to everyone who came to see the exhibition and took part in the opening event. CUT THE STEM presents Viola Bozzo at UNWIRED "Under My Skin", 2026. Room divider, tights, cotton, paint, googly eyes, thread, wire. 180x50cm. Through "Under My Skin," Viola Bozzo examines the experience of the invasion of privacy, mediated through a found room divider. The material language of the sculpture references bodily elements, such as skin, eyes, and limbs. The room divider, an object that divides space, offering privacy and mitigating vulnerability by providing personal space, closes in on itself to become a column-like structure. As the fabric composing the object assumes a skin-like colour and texture, a thread surgically pierces the skin, creating incisions through which the eyes can peer. The zipper reveals the viewer's active involvement, as they, by unzipping, expose the fragility within. A distorted, organic, and monstrous corporeal mass is revealed. Made of pantyhose and cotton, it suggests an embodiment of a state of agitation and malaise, trapped in its physical state. As the mass fluctuates and finds nowhere to ground itself, it remains frozen in shock, stuck in its seemingly protective environment. As penetrating gazes dominate and define the body, googly eyes sprout all over the mass, assimilating the outside with the inside. Ultimately, leaving the viewer in an exchange of glances.Thank you @violabozzoart for participating 💘 by @violabozzoart
