C a t w a l k // Over 3 decades ago gorgeous people modeled at my NYC ‘95 show. I was to give each model a garment for their catwalk.

Showroom Seven represented me. Seemingly delighted to rep me. But the rep that handled my line, said they weren’t doing anything. Anyhow, after a few thousand dollars of monthly repping fees, they sold off my samples without my permission, and I had no orders and no garments to give the models for their walk on my show.

If you remember buying any hand embroidered pieces with natural raffia straw from my collection at Showroom Seven between 1995-96, I’d love to see how they look through the years. I have some from that time and they still look great!

I ended up doing made-to-order one-of-a-kind clothing as always, and worked for other brands in between.

Three decades later, while accompanying my elderly mom in Peru a large part of the year, I started my small capsule clothing collection. I’m adding shoes and undergarments also.

I can’t find all the models that walked my show then.

I’d love for anyone who walked it and comes across this to choose a piece from my website, if they like what they see. The shop link is on there.

Offering the purest collection made with organic cotton grown by small family farms in Peru.

Collaborating with talented artisans, each garment is individually hand printed with plants by artist/designer @nathalieshapiama, the solid colors are individually hand dyed with plants by Yanesha artisan @jocabethartesania in the Peruvian jungle.

Leaves, flowers, tubers and bark are sustainably collected to produce the beautiful colors and eco prints.

The hand knitted garments in the collection are made with fine native color-grown organic cotton yarns.

Each piece is unique, one-of-a-kind and timeless.

This halter style can be tied at the back, and it also has a loop inside the center back to cross or twist the long ties for a different look. You can wear it loosely untied or choose to wrap ties around the waist, then tie them at the back or front.

Made with a buttery-soft organic Pima cotton lightweight knit, grown by small family farms in Peru, each dress is a one-of-a -kind garment.

Featuring eco prints, where each garment is individually hand printed with plants by my talented cousin and designer @nathalieshapiama using leaves, flowers and her special techniques.

The Lilou Halter Top in solid colors are individually hand dyed by master artisan and dyer @jocabethartesania from the Yanesha community in the Peruvian Amazon jungle.
