Stills from “Adagio for Dream Animals” - a video @ssalt.lick and I projected through transparent and iridescent fabric into a little cave-like space at @kolo.community.space as part of our dreams exhibition. It’s composed of found archive footage and camcorder videos I filmed during our residency period. The images warp and blur together in constant motion, imagining a collective dream ritual of becoming something other. I would love to show the full video sometime again, just don’t feel like instagram is the right space and context for it. But still wanted to share some little part of it. 🐈‍⬛ by @violetheartdotcom

During my trip to Paris, my brilliant friend @kelsdac allowed me to film her paint. She told me about the time her whole creative and artistic process completely changed and her openness and vulnerability has touched me deeply. I learned so much about her during this week and I’m so happy to know I have gained a very special friend. ❤️ taken in Paris, France by @violetheartdotcom

Working with rust and all its unpredictabilities really taught me to embrace a more intuitive and fluid approach to art and to view the process as the main part of an artwork - something that’s been really hard for me in the past so I’m very grateful to our rust :3 here’s a little process video where you can see how we used the metal stairs in our working space to create it by @violetheartdotcom

Work in progress for our installation tonight @kolo.community.space - @ssalt.lick and I worked with rust and cyanotype to make tapestries and created a video to go along with them. If you’re in Paris, come by from 17-22h and see the finished work. 🌙 taken in KOLO Paris by @violetheartdotcom
