Oh how I’ve learned soooooooo much. I leave this experience with so much gratitude and even more curiosity than I came in with. What a gift is it to remain in awe and to keep company with what is still mysterious. To have shared this body of work here and with everyone who spent time with it, means so much to me!! Growling and howling, always🤺🧟‍♂️🐾🌲

It Found Its Way In,
7 ft tall, 1,500 pounds, stainless steel

I thought I was going to cover the entire ball with an image but then became more interested in challenging my own complicated distrust of the pristine, monumental abstractionnnn. The authority of giving so little within so much space 🤺 I wanted my drawing to interrupt a universal object and was curious about the pressure of restraint

It was deffs important to follow my suspicion as I thought about where public sculpture gets to live. The less space I allowed the drawings to occupy, the more consequential their appearance became

The piece was on view at The Yard for a month, where these photos were taken, and is now permanently installed at Liberty Square Park in New Brunswick, New Jersey taken in New Brunswick, New Jersey by @virtualtai
