Brand, web and conversion systems for established B2B service businesses | Buyer‑Fit Score
POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
Rory came to us with a name that no longer quite fit what his business had evolved into.

Fraction GC had become something more that than, but the brand & site hadn't kept up.

Before we touched a single design decision, what do you actually DO for your clients? Can we productise and formulate a process there?

That gave birth to the two practices he runs his clients through over years of work, the BUILD and EMBED methods.

Those conversations take longer than just starting on the logo, but they're the reason the brand and website actually resonate with future prospects. You're not talking about what you do, you're talking about what changes.

"FGC finally feels like us. The new website is the first one I've actually wanted to send people to. I'm genuinely proud of it."

bish bash bosh 👌

Quick one for anyone sitting on the "we probably need a new website" wagon

...pump the brakes for a sec.

We wrote up a report on why most website rebuilds don't really make much of a difference. It's usually not the design, it's what happens after someone lands on your shiny new homepage.

If you're in that "should we rebuild" conversation right now, it's worth ten minutes of your time (I think at least...)

Might save you a chunk of budget either way!

30 minutes to design a website.

All while recording the entire thing.

This is how systematic thinking works under pressure.

Last year, Relume invited me to their Design League Arena. There are over 14,000 designers in their Slack community.

They selected 12 for this challenge, and this hairy British bloke was one of them!

The brief was pretty simple, design a website for an Electric bike company in just 30 minutes.

The twist though, I wanted to show the thinking, not just the design.

So I ran through the 4C framework in real time AND, (because I love the sound of my own voice apparently) recorded the whole process.

The difference between designers who create pretty things and designers who create business results, is the questions they ask first.

For those of you undertaking some creative work, make sure your designer asks questions like "Who needs to believe what?"/"What does this need to communicate?"/"What would we consider successful?"

That shift in goal, really changes everything.

The 4C framework works whether you have 30 minutes or 30 weeks (but let's be clear... it doesn't take 30 weeks).

If you want to see how systematic thinking applies under time pressure, I've got the recording here! Might be interesting to watch the behind-the-scenes process of strategic design thinking.

Let me know if that would be useful. Sometimes seeing the process is more valuable than seeing the result ✌️ by @visionarygrid.studio

So unsurprisingly we deal with a lot of brand and website projects...

And Amberton's one I'm properly proud of.

The brief wasn't "make it look nice" (although obviously that mattered too).

It was build something that can actually expand as the business grows, without everything looking like it was bolted on after.

A few months ago I got tagged in a post by the bloody awesome John Rougeux when he was looking for a new website.

We started work a week or so later to bring John's idea of the future of Flag and Frontier's brand and website properly to life.

We ran John through the 4C process and worked with him across our 4 pillars.

Clarifying who we're speaking to and what they actually want out of the engagement.
Crafting the messaging so it is relatable to his ICP.
Convert the system, so we designed and built a site that's designed to intrigue and provide value to his prospects without having to hop on a call.
Continue. Integrating data and analytics so we know what's working and why.

Last week during our catch-up call, John said,

“I can’t remember who recommended you on LinkedIn, but I’m really glad they did.”

Which is one of my favourite pieces of feedback I've ever received.

That’s what a good brand and website should be doing for your business.

Making the right people confident enough to recommend you before they’ve even spoken to you.

Big fan of how this one came out! LVF did a great job with the brand!

The best talk at OFFF Barcelona wasn't about design.

It was about process.

Wiedemann Lampe walked through their framework for branding an entire city in Abu Dhabi.

With named stages and repeatable thinking with IP that’s entirely theirs.

The most valuable thing your business has probably isn't in your portfolio.

It’s in the way you think.

I spotted this in London a few weeks back and bloody loved it. In a world where everything is searchable and available perspective is rare.

Something to think about. by @visionarygrid.studio

Rendesco needed the outside to match the inside.

Working with Rob Bootle, we rebuilt their site and lead system with new positioning, new build and a custom calculator in order to turn visitors into qualified enquiries.

Shortly after we did this, they secured £100m in investment.

Making great work visible has a way of opening doors.
