Thank you to the Marley Family @julianrmarley my teacher.
@johngq81 @alexx_antaeus for believing in my talent and giving me the opportunity to be apart of these masterful works of art. #songwriter

R.I.P @jomersamarley my friend who first with @iamjemere were the ones to believe in my song writing ability. And encouraged me to take my song writing talent serious almost 12yrs ago. I cant tell you how much you both saved my life at a time, where I didnt value my own.

R.I.P @famsbass you are a legend and I didnt get the honor of meeting you before your transition. But I did meet one of your sons, John who believed in my talent as well. And he introduced me to Julian, and recommend that I be apart of what now and forever will be a Reggae Grammy Winning Album. So thank you for raising a true kind hearted son that I will always call my friend and big brother. taken in Grammy Awards California Live by @visionthewriter

OFFICIAL SELECTION! @tinffestival 🇳🇬 🇯🇲 🇨🇦 🔥🔥🔥

Canada has one of the largest Jamaican diaspora communities in the world and has made a huge impact through culture, language, food, music and now film.

We are excited to be an official selection at the Toronto International Film Festival, A Canadian Screen Award qualifying festival! With many Jamaicans tracing their lineage to West African countries like Nigeria, this festival selection is truly one that helps to expand our ability to ‘Stitch the fabric of a Nation.’ 🇳🇬 🇯🇲 🇨🇦

Threads Of Us is a Jamaican Love Story set against the backdrop of Jamaica’s Independence Day celebrations, following two young people as they navigate work, life and their own independence on an island still navigating its colonial history.

Starring Jamaican-Canadian actor @shomaridowner and Actress/ singer @callmesevana alongside comedy legend @blakkaellis @trillamilla_scandalbagent and Grammy award winning producer @visionthewriter in his acting debut.

Directed by: Mykal Cushnie
Written/ Produced by Donisha Prendergast
Exec Producers: Kady Campbell-Edwards, Peter Prendergast, Horane Henry.

This is how we reclaim our stories, by telling them.

“We are not our circumstances. We were made to live, to laugh and to love.” - Threads of Us
