After nearly 2 days of rain, even my Soi is flooding - probably 15 cm (abt 6 inches). Much worse in other parts of the city.

Kinda like a snow day, but in Thailand

Old compadre @jonathanfriedland is in BKK for the first time in years, so naturally I had to take him to my favourite Wisconsin dive bar, #fattysbangkok.

One patty melt, one Reuben, some tater tots and a few requisite Bloody Mary’s later, we were in fine fettle.

Took a few days here but I finally managed to sneak in an awesome Nasi Padang before I left. Maybe not the healthiest meal I had here but certainly one of the best!

Beef rendang, tahu goreng, ikan bilis, tempeh, sayur, sambal etc.

Grand Meyers family reunion brunch yesterday at Samy’s Curry at Dempsey. First time together in a few years, and the food was as good as it was 30 years back. Really special day ❤️

Finally! Maybe the only one in Bangkok? All of Thailand?

Thanks to @brainey3 for bringing it over.

I love it when I can introduce people from different parts and times from my life to one another. Kind of a living Venn Diagram.

The other night old colleague @zeno3000 (Michael McCormick) and @fotofloster (Alex Miller) were both in town and I took them out for a tour of Ari.

Fun, smart evening … glad to see and intro them both. 90’s meets 20’s - well met
