🍁🍂 It’s getting to look a lot like autumn at Swanbourne Lake in @visitarundel , which was yesterdays destination for our Saturday outing! We fed the birds, almost got chased by the biggest swan we’ve ever seen, had refreshments at @swanbournelodgetearoom and had a lovely peaceful walk round the lake. Perfection!

🍴 A new winter menu has landed at The Steakist…

If you’re planning a visit to Arundel this winter, there’s another very good reason to stay for dinner.

The Steakist has launched its new winter menus, packed with seasonal comfort food – from hot honey, black garlic and sesame chicken wings to pan-fried hake with Parma ham and shellfish white wine sauce, and grilled duck breast with crispy potato rösti, smoked beetroot purée and jus.

Tucked beneath Arundel Town Hall, the Arundel Jailhouse offers a fascinating glimpse into the town’s past.

Once part of Arundel’s former prison, the atmospheric underground cells have a history stretching back to the 19th century. Today, the Jailhouse has been transformed into a unique venue, hosting live music, comedy, events and more – all within walls that have plenty of stories to tell.

🎨 Have you discovered @tarrantgallery yet?

One of Arundel’s newer additions, Tarrant Gallery has opened its doors on Tarrant Street, joining the wonderful mix of independent galleries, makers, shops and cafés that make this part of town so special.

Following their inaugural exhibition during the Arundel Gallery Trail, October will see the arrival of a new mixed exhibition, featuring paintings, prints, ceramics and sculpture from both familiar names and new artists and makers.

If you love discovering art, beautiful objects and independent businesses, make sure Tarrant Gallery is on your list next time you’re exploring Arundel.
