The sky has a few more colors to show you. 🧡 Across California’s deserts, wide horizons give the evening light plenty of room to do its thing.

Leave a little space in your plans for this part of the day. 🌅

Big park. A few tight squeezes. 🥾 California’s largest state park knows how to keep a hike interesting.

At @anzaborrego Desert State Park, wind through slot canyons, find a little shade in the palm groves, and take in badlands that seem to go on forever.

GOING WILD WEST! 🤠🎬

Every time we can, we are leaning toward Western movies and desert films! 🌵

But this year, the Wild West literally takes shape at the YVFF with the infamous Gunfighters for Hire, Pioneertown’s legendary Old West reenactment group, coming to kick the dirt and catch the thieves on opening night of the film fest.

The local legends will perform twice during the evening, bringing their authentic Western characters and old fashioned shootouts right into the courtyard of the Community Center. They will also walk the red carpet, present a gun safety demonstration, and join us on stage for a community meet and greet.

Opening Night, Friday, November 6.
⭐️Red Carpet & Gunfighters performance: 5 PM sharp.

Free to attend!

Your @joshuatreenps plans could use a few new friends. 🐴 At @cascadetrails_jt, guided horseback experiences come with a connection to a bigger cause: supporting wild horses and burros 🫏 .

Book a ride at Cascade Trails Mustang Sanctuary and spend a little time getting to know this side of the high desert.

Millions of years of history, written into the landscape. 🏜️✨

From the colorful hills of Artist’s Palette to the sweeping views of Zabriskie Point, Death Valley is where the story of the desert comes to life.

Horseback riding probably isn’t the first thing that comes to mind when you picture Joshua Tree, and that’s exactly what makes it worth trying. 🐎🌅

@cascadetrails_jt offers a chance to see the desert at golden hour in a way you probably didn’t have on your itinerary. As the sun drops behind the landscape, the trail becomes the perfect front-row seat.

Twentynine Palms sunsets are better when you’re there to take them in. 🌅🌵

Set up camp, find your spot, and watch the desert sky turn every shade of gold, pink, and purple. Ready to find your own favorite spot?

A trip to @joshuatreenps looks different for everyone. 🌵✨

For some, it’s poolside under desert skies, waking up in a dreamy globe, and taking it slow. For others, it’s camping under the stars, scrambling over boulders, and chasing the next view.

Your Joshua Tree, your way. Check out @kitcheninthedesert29 for a game of pool outdoors and @masomenosbar for their photo booth!
