Located at 1125 N. 8th Street, Iris is designed to feel like the kind of place where you can grab a drink with friends, curl up with a book, or simply enjoy a slower evening downtown.

Did you know you can get a fish fry at Schwarz Fish Market any day? 🐟

We recently stopped by Schwarz Fish Market on Riverfront Drive to try their fish fry, and learned that you don’t have to wait for Friday to enjoy one! 🙌

Schwarz Fish Company has been a fourth-generation, family-owned Sheboygan business for more than a century, and they’re one of the last natural hardwood smokers in Wisconsin. They smoke a variety of fish, including salmon, trout, whitefish and herring, using a natural hardwood and sea salt brining process. And if you’re looking for something a little more than their smoked and fresh fish, they also offer dinners, sandwiches, and à la carte options.

We love finding places like this that have been part of Sheboygan’s culinary history for generations. And honestly, knowing we can get a fish fry on a day other than Friday is a pretty great discovery!

Located along Sheboygan’s waterfront, Harbor Lights is known for its atmosphere, award-winning Bloody Marys, spacious dog-friendly patio and a new menu with plenty to try. A couple of menu favorites worth ordering? The Prime Rib Sandwich and Vanishing Bacon Bites.

But there’s more to Harbor Lights than what’s on the menu. The building has been part of Sheboygan’s waterfront since the early 1860s and has had quite the history over the years. It’s been a tavern for Great Lakes sailors, a songbird shop, a root beer company, a dry cleaner and home to several neighborhood bars before becoming Harbor Lights. Today, the restaurant continues to be part of the community by hosting fundraisers and supporting local events throughout the year.

Whether you’re stopping in for lunch, grabbing a Bloody Mary on the patio or checking out the new menu, Harbor Lights is a fun stop to add to your Sheboygan itinerary 🍔🍹🐾
