Spring is in full swing and that means it’s time to take advantage of the beauty all around us and explore Ukiah!

1. Lake Mendocino - 20+ miles of hiking paths surround the lake & offer a range of options to explore
2. Vichy Springs - Your day pass at this resort gives you access to a waterfall hike, vista views and a chance to soak in the champagne baths!
3. Montgomery Woods - this is the perfect spot outside Ukiah to see Redwoods so tall, they’ll blow your mind! Plus there’s picnic areas & more.
4. Mill Creek - Mill Creek Park Ridge Trail and Valley View trails are just two of the excellent trails where you can take in the sights of the east side of the Ukiah Valley!
5. Low Gap Park - Low Gap Park features multiple hiking trails where you’ll see everything from waterfalls to breathtaking views.

🎃 That wasn’t just a Pumpkin Weigh Off, that was a movie!

For a second we thought 700+ pounds was the one and suddenly 906 pounds of absolute pumpkin rolled through the Weigh Off courtesy of Abraham Preciado! It was a perfect kickoff for Pumpkinfest as Alex Thomas Plaza was alive and thriving with families and friends filling the square to take it all in. Thank you so much to everyone who helped make it happen and all the participants. 🌅 Congratulations on the grand opening of the Community Park @coyotevalley_tribe!

It’s an honor to have been invited to such a beautiful and significant moment for the Tribe and especially future generations. The park itself is breathtaking in scope with a playground, basketball courts, picnic areas, gazebos, an open lawn and the kids’ favorite: a splash pad. 🥪 Get ready to dig in because it’s time for another Cuisine Countdown featuring all our favorite food from across the Ukiah Valley!

1. Let’s kick off the week with one of our favorite sandwiches, The Frogger from Crepas Cafe. It’s piled high featuring dutch crunch bread. Pair it with pumpkin salta caramel latte for a true fall treat! (@crepascafe_)

🦚 Let’s visit the Fall Art Exhibitions at Dharma Buddhist University! (@dharmarealm)

‘In This Space’ is one of five different exhibitions this season and features the photography of Stan Shoptaugh. The exhibition chronicles the transformation of the DRBU Building from a historic, timeworn structure into a welcoming home for learning and community. Drawn to the building’s textures, natural light, and traces of history, Shoptaugh followed its transformation and the work of more than 200 craftspeople, capturing the gradual emergence of a space shaped by vision, care, and possibility. It’s a rare, behind-the-scenes look at the renovation from 2015 through 2017.

Follow along with us as we highlight the other exhibitions in the coming weeks! There’s a lot to see!
