There were some interesting things to learn and nice people to meet at tonight‘s event at Visual Sound Productions, Inc. I rounded out my day learning a little bit about what goes into filming short scenes, but honestly, I was out of my depth. Still, learning for learning’s sake is always worthwhile. taken in Visual Sound Productions, Inc. by @djnickinell

Summer may be in the rearview, but we can still keep it rocking through your speakers. 🌅

My QSC Sunset Sessions set at DJX 2026 got a lot of love, so it was only right to finally drop the full 2-hour mix. 🎧

If you want to jam out to some funk, nu-disco & house, this is the perfect soundtrack for you. 🪩

Had a blast kicking things off in Atlantic City on the new @qscaudio KC12 Column Loudspeaker System — now you can run it back with me. 🔊

The full set is up now on Mixcloud — link in my bio. 🔗

Register for free here:
https://www.eventbrite.com/e/make-the-scene-a-hands-on-filmmaking-experience-tickets-1999408839662

Step on set. Join Visual Sound Productions & the Easthampton Film Festival for a hands-on evening of filmmaking and creative collaboration.
The script is written. The actors are ready. The rest is up to you.
Make the Scene is a hands-on filmmaking experience created by Visual Sound Productions in collaboration with the Easthampton Film Festival, giving local filmmakers, creatives, and curious collaborators a chance to step onto a working set and experiment. Consider this the ultimate creatives’ playground.
We’ll provide the script, the actors, the equipment, and shooting environments. You take the director’s chair and put your own spin on the scene. Get behind the camera. Experiment with lighting. Jump into another production role. Or simply explore the setups, meet other local creatives, and see where the night takes you.
Two shooting locations will operate throughout the evening, each featuring a prepared scene, complete with actors. The real fun is seeing how differently each creative approaches it.
Your scene. Your style.
Direct your own version of a prepared scene.
Get hands-on with cameras and production equipment.
Experiment with lighting and on-set setups.
Work with actors and try different creative approaches.
Step into whatever production role interests you.
Meet and collaborate with other creatives in the local film community.
No need to arrive with a crew, a finished concept, or even plans to direct. This open-house-style experience is designed for experimentation. Come ready to try something, ask questions, swap ideas, and play.
Whether you work in film every day, want to sharpen a particular skill, or have simply wondered what you could create with access to the right tools, the set is yours free to enjoy.

Thursday, October 8 | 5–9 PM
Free to attend, advance registration required.

🚨 THIS IS NOT YOUR TYPICAL HIRING VIDEO. 🚨

We could’ve made a polished corporate video telling you that working at VSP is an “exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced, dynamic team.”

But if you know VSP… you know that’s not really our style. 😂

At VSP, we keep it real.

So we made a hiring video that does exactly that.

We’re currently expanding our subcontractor team and looking for:

🎶 Talent Assistants
🎞️ Photobooth Attendants
🔊 Audio Technicians
💡 Lighting Technicians
🖥️ Video Wall Technicians
📸 Photographers
🎥 Videographers
🛠️ Event Production / Setup Crew

Whether you’ve been doing this for years or you’re looking to get your foot in the door, we’re looking for people who are reliable, charismatic, willing to learn, and most importantly… can hang.

We work hard. We have high standards. We have a lot of fun doing it.

Think you’d be a good fit for VSP?

📩 Send your resume to info@visualsoundprod.com

Still taking this one in. 🖤

Had the honor of DJing Candace Parker’s Hall of Fame Enshrinement after party with legends like Lisa Leslie, Dwyane Wade and more in the building.

Getting trusted to set the vibe for a room like this? Definitely one for the books. 🎧

Congratulations @candaceparker — legendary company for a legendary night. 🏀✨
