I love telling my story! 🎤🎧💜

It's such a beautiful reminder of how far I've become and how much I've loved the journey. 🎢🤸🏻‍♀️

This time I had a chat with Taylor from @pmwcommunity about one of the stories I wrote for "Undefeated" (a compilation of 118 stories written by 90 authors) "A connector who feels lonely".

It's been one year since the book was published. It was very special and vulnerable for me to talk about this particular part of my story.

🛣️ All roads lead to .... not Rome.

All the paths I've taken have led me to beautiful places in Australia, working with diverse audiences and teams, offering multiple services, or as I call them, "experiences".

Yesterday, the road took me to Warnambool to run a professional development day for a support services organisation.
The co-creation process before and during the event was meaningful and the whole day was very rewarding for all, the team, the leaders and for me.

I was "in my element":

✅ I love working with leaders at organisations and communities that care enough about their people to bring them together to a space of joy, growth and connection.

✅ I love bringing together my skills as MC, entertainer, dance teacher, facilitator, engineer, plus my understanding of the industry to support the leadership team and the attendees the most professional and vivacious way possible.

✅ I love traveling to beautiful places that otherwise I might not visit.

🎉 Cheers to more meaningful moments like this. 🤩🤩

What becomes possible when you stop editing yourself out of your own story?

The experience you’ve earned.
The perspective you bring.
The ambition you haven’t said aloud.
Changing the narrative begins with recognising the richness of who you are, and giving that a place in the story you tell.

Bring the idea you’re still finding words for. Bring the parts of your story that don’t fit into a job title.

Bring yourself as you are today.
Speak out loud. Your future self is listening.

Este encuentro fue una invitación a pausar, escucharnos y volver a
ese lugar interno donde habita nuestra verdad.
A recordarnos que somos nuestra mejor compañera, que podemos

Celebrating that today I submitted the first draft of the community strategy for @transformarnos_co two minutes before the due time 😬 ⏰ 🥳

Uni PTS flared up but I felt OK and the anxiety reduced because of simple things that people told me and I told myself:

☺️ It's just the first draft. I will receive feedback about it to improve it
☺️ It's work in progress
☺️ This is a new project. I'm learning along the way
☺️ It doesn't need to be perfect (and what is perfect anyway 🤷🏽‍♀️)
☺️ Ask chatGPT 😬🫣 (I gave 🤦🏽‍♀️. I'm learning to cocreate with it)
☺️ I'm supported. There are people and systems that can help me at @the.communitycollective
☺️ I have time to work on it with @cata_arteaga_ and @nataa_cuervo later, calmly.

I realised that I put a lot of pressure on myself. I have very high expectations for everything I create to the point that most of the time I set unrealistic standards that no one, but me, measures me against.

Can anyone relate? 🤷🏽‍♀️

ON THE TOPIC OF FUCK UP NIGHTS…

I HAVE A 4.5 DAY SUMMIT PASS TO HAND OUT FOR ONE VERY LUCKY WOMAN WHO WAS IN THE ROOM LAST WEDNESDAY…

… Before I lead into that piece, I want to speak to why it mattered to me that I offered this pass up, that is worth $2455 AUD.

My deepest passion is about women leading change and impact… and I will use whatever I have been gifted with in this lifetime to fulfil this mission.

Through the highs and the lows, and every space in between… THIS stuff matters.

If real change is going to happen in this world, it will come about because women have a strong role to play in leading it.

WHAT DOES FUCK UP NIGHTS HAVE TO DO WITH THIS?

Far too often we build leaders up… to tear them down. For the budding leader who is truly on the path… whether in business or any other setting… we KNOW that it takes something to birth, grow, generate, sustain, powerfully amplify our impact for ourselves… and those around us.

We take the risks. We overcome our stuff. We hold the space. We take the responsibility.

We navigate more than the average human could ever wrap their heads around.

For these and a million other reasons, it matters immensely that we have spaces where leaders can honestly, openly and humbly… share the whole story without fear and to support others on their way.

To encourage the guiding of conversations about how we can lead in far better ways.

This is why I wanted to support and honour the space offered on Wednesday night… and this is why I am super excited to have one of the women (as well as those who are a part of the Aspire community already) be welcomed along to The Summit in Ubud in August.

Bittersweet feelings after the last @fuckupnights_melbourne event meaningfully curated by @clareelizabeth_dea 🥹

Congrats to all the speakers who shared their fuckups at all the events 🥳👏🏽

I felt the warmth and great vibes since the first event I attended. I immediately felt it! I was going to be speaking on that stage 👩🏽‍🎤

I became a community member and we had great growth and connection moments together.

I applied to speak at an open mic for the relationship fuckups event in March and I was invited to speak. The process of preparing the story was deeply challenging, meaningful, healing, revealing and more...

Clare's guidance through the process was mind-blowing. I'm extremely grateful for everything that I have learnt from you and the wonderful connections I've made at your events & programs for the past 10 years and I look forward to more. 🙏🏽
