✨ Winter Show Throwback ✨
In July, our theme was Harmonies 🎶 and one of the highlights was Thabi & Arya (only 8 years old!) singing together so beautifully. 🥹💜
When music is taught in a supportive, healthy environment, harmonies become something joyful and easy. These two absolutely nailed it!
Forever proud of my students. 💕

✨🎭 So proud of my students! 🎭✨

Erin and Chloe from Steyn City School are in their last week of rehearsals for their school production of West Side Story! 💃🎶
I am beyond proud of how hard they’ve been working — balancing school, after-school activities, and hours of rehearsals with so much dedication and passion. 🌟
I’m their number one supporter and can’t wait to see them shine on stage! 🌹🎶

🎤❄️ Winter Talent Showcase Prep is in Full Swing! ❄️🎤

It’s that time of year again, and we’re getting ready for one of our favourite events – the VoiceCraft Studio Winter Talent Showcase! 💫

For those who don’t know – our showcase is a celebration of everything our students have been working on since the start of the year. It’s more than just a performance – it’s a chance for each student to shine on stage, show off their talent, and experience the magic of performing in front of a live audience.

This year, each student will be performing two songs:
✨ One solo performance
✨ One solo with backup vocals – where fellow students will be singing harmonies and learning how to support a lead vocalist on stage.

We believe every student deserves to feel the spotlight – and this showcase is their moment. 💖🎶

Stay tuned for behind-the-scenes sneak peeks and all the exciting updates as we count down to the big day! 🌟

My heart is honestly overflowing with joy and pride. 🥹💛
I had the absolute privilege of watching the phenomenal Drakensberg Boys Choir perform at the Joburg Theatre—and wow… I was blown away. The talent, discipline, and passion these young boys showed left me speechless. 🌟🎶

What made the experience even more special was seeing that my very own music teacher and vocal coach is now the conductor and mentor of the “new boys.”

Mr. Phila has always been an incredible teacher—his patience, support, and love for music shaped me into the vocal coach I am today. I honestly owe so much of my journey to him. 💫

Knowing that these boys are being guided by someone as passionate and nurturing as him fills my heart with hope for the future of music. They are in the best hands.

Here’s to music, growth, and the teachers who change lives. 💛✨ taken in Joburg Theatre by @voicecraftstudiosa

✨ Proud Teacher Moment! ✨

My incredible student Sigrid, who has been with me for five years, just performed in a school concert at Gusta Vasa Church in Stockholm — accompanied by none other than the Sollentuna Symphony Orchestra with reinforcement from the Royal College of Music in Stockholm! 🎶🇸🇪

She sang “The Armed Man: Now the Guns Have Stopped” — and I couldn’t be more proud. 💛
We’ve done online lessons across countries (I’m in South Africa, she’s in Sweden!), and I’ve literally watched her grow — not just as a vocalist, but as a beautiful, confident young woman.

Sigrid, you are such a joy to teach. I love you so much and am so honoured to be part of your musical journey. 💕🌍

🎤 Why Singing Is So Important (And Fun!) 🎶

Ever wondered why so many people love singing—even in the shower or the car? It turns out, singing isn’t just fun… it’s good for you! 💛 Here are some fun facts and real experiences about why singing matters:

✨ 1. Singing boosts your mood!
Research shows that singing releases endorphins—the feel-good chemicals in your brain. One student told us:
“Even on stressful days, singing just lifts me up. I leave each lesson smiling!”

🧠 2. It’s like a workout for your brain.
Learning melodies, lyrics, and rhythms sharpens your memory and focus.
“My concentration has improved so much since I started singing. It’s like brain training, but way more fun!”

💪 3. Singing improves your posture and breathing.
Singers naturally learn to stand taller and breathe deeper—which is great for your overall health.
“I used to slouch a lot, but now I stand with confidence—even when I’m not singing!”

💬 4. It builds confidence and self-expression.
Singing helps you find your voice, literally and emotionally.
“Performing used to scare me, but now I feel empowered to be seen and heard.”

🎭 5. It creates community and connection.
Whether it’s in a choir, at a lesson, or on stage, singing brings people together.
“I’ve made lifelong friends through singing—we laugh, cry, and grow together.”

🌟 Everyone’s voice matters—and singing is for EVERYONE. Whether you’re dreaming of Broadway or just want a creative outlet, singing can transform your life in small, powerful ways.
