We are really pleased to announce that Volume 1 Climbing is now a Not-for-Profit organisation.

Following the lead from our friends at IndiRock, Boulder Shack and Rhino Boulder, who are also N4P organisations, we felt that this status better suits our purpose and values here at Volume 1 Climbing. For us as owners (Katie and Ben), Volume 1 Climbing has always prioritised customer experience and accessibility over profit. Our goal has been to provide the best possible experience and to open climbing up to as many people as possible.

To continue delivering on these goals, we need sustainable funding, and in the current climate the best way for us to do this is through the opportunities that being a not-for-profit enables.

Volume 1 has always been a values led business, and this strengthens that commitment even further. Day-to-day, nothing changes, but it allows us to continue investing everything into making the centre the best it can be. What you can expect to see is even more investment back into the centre, along with more opportunities to help open up the wonderful world of climbing to a wider range of people.

This is something we feel really happy and proud about. It feels like the right path for the future of the business, and we look forward to sharing this journey with you all.

Are you looking for some tips to help you improve? Maybe you have hit a plateau in your climbing?

Improving without any help can be really hard and sometimes we need someone to help steer us in the right direction.

Starting form November, James Hickman will be avaialble for 1:1 coaching here at Volume 1 and at High Sports too.

James has a wealth of experince in coaching and helping people achieve their potential within climbing. Having spent the last 5 years coaching our Junior Climbing team, James is now opening up his coaching offering to all people through 1:1 coaching sessions.

1 Hour session - £60 (Members)
1 Hour session - £70 (Non-Members)

We have a new feature that has just been added to the V1 Climber app - Competitions!

However, this is a bit different as it allows you to create your own competitions between you and your friends!

The Big Scramble booking is now open!

Get involved with our biggest event of the year full of fun and lots of climbing.

Our Scramble format makes for a super inclusive competition where you get to push yourself to your limit and experience climbs of all styles!

Last week, some of our amazing team members from both High Sports and Volume 1 attended the ABC conference. It was a great few days gaining insights into the industry, exchanging ideas with fellow members, and, of course, testing out our skills on the new Moon Spray board!
