This September we hit the road with Kal-El and Goya for a run that stretches from the desert to the Pacific and back through the Rockies.
The tour kicks off September 18, rolls through Austin for RippleFest, heads across the Southwest, up the West Coast to Vancouver, then turns east before coming to a close in Colorado. Looking forward to seeing familiar faces, meeting new ones, and bringing these songs to every room along the way. Show links and dates in bio.
See you out there. by @volume_rocks

BAND ANNOUNCEMENT: VOLUME

Formed in Southern California in 1993, VOLUME made its mark in the early days of the desert and heavy rock underground with the release of Requesting Permission to Land and appearances at influential festivals including Stoner Hands of Doom and Emissions from the Monolith.

After a two-decade hiatus, the band returned with renewed purpose, reissuing Requesting Permission to Land before releasing a series of singles and the full-length Joy of Navigation (A Trip to the Eternal Unknown). The album features contributions from Ed Mundell (Monster Magnet), Mike Amster (Nebula, Brant Bjork Trio), and Dave Catching (Queens of the Stone Age, Eagles of Death Metal).

VOLUME delivers heavy, psychedelic, fuzz-drenched rock built on killer riffs, hypnotic grooves, and songs that hit with equal parts weight and atmosphere. For their RippleFest appearance, Patrick Brink is joined by the guys in Black Moon Cult, bringing a powerful live lineup to the stage as VOLUME continues its next chapter.

Calling All Desert Heads, this one’s going to be heavy.

We’re fired up to open for two bands that know exactly how to bring the weight. Norway’s Kal-El are making the trip across the Atlantic with their massive blend of desert rock, stoner metal, and cosmic grooves. Direct support comes from Goya, one of the heaviest names in the underground, delivering the crushing riffs and slow-burning doom they’ve become known for.

As for us, we’re kicking the whole thing off at The Annex and setting the tone the only way we know how. We’re planning on exploding heads and taking names from the first note.

Get there early.
