Eight bottles of Louise Brison, pulled from the rubble and fire after the russian strike on our warehouse.
Probably better never to have this experience — but here we are. Not a single wine was spoiled. A few picked up a touch of smoke on the nose, but every one of them held strong. Just like all of us in Ukraine.

Ask me what real Le Mesnil-sur-Oger tastes like, and my answer
is one name: Rodolphe Péters.

Six cuvées in one evening — Extra Brut, Cuvée de Réserve,
L’Esprit de 2021, Les Chétillons 2018, and two editions of
L’Étonnant Monsieur Victor side by side. Every wine excellent.
Three deserve a special word.

Cuvée de Réserve, base 2023 (92+)
Precise, measured, tightly knit, fresh. The perpetual reserve
reaching back to 1988 doing exactly what it’s meant to do.

Les Chétillons 2018 (95+)
I’m no great admirer of 2018. And yet — salinity, sea air, iodine,
concentration. Proof that a great parcel in the hands of a master
changes everything.

L’Étonnant Monsieur Victor TB.19
Extraordinarily complex, extraordinarily detailed. The finest of
the series I’ve tasted — and I’ve had MK12, MK13 and TB18.
Tasting TB.18 and TB.19 next to each other was superb!

Володимир Антонов- один з найсильніших винних експертів України (WSET4 Diploma), декан винної школи @goodwineschool , та людина, яку в Шампані давно вважають за свого.

А для мене — ще й приклад того, як справжня експертність може поєднуватись із простотою та відкритістю. Рідкісне поєднання у нашій сфері 🍷😁

Щойно завершився ефір про шампанське — і це була одна з моїх улюблених розмов.

Говорила з Володимиром Антоновим — wine professional, WSET Diploma (London), директором Wine School Goodwine і категорійним менеджером Champagne в Goodwine. Людиною яка знає про шампанське все. Ну майже 😊

Говорили про великі шампанські доми і про grower champagne — і чим вони принципово відрізняються. Про цукор і Zero Dosage — як читати етикетку і що це означає для смаку. Про продажі вина — і так, вони падають. Про націнки в ресторанах — де чесно а де ні. І про те де вчитись вину в Україні.

Шампанське — моя улюблена тема. І цей ефір дав мені багато нових інсайтів.

Чи знаєте ви що в регіоні Шампань зареєстровано 320 шампанських домів і понад 16 тисяч виноградарів?

І більшість з нас знає лише 5-7 великих імен. Moët, Veuve Clicquot, Ruinart , Taittinger — це красиво і статусно. Але світ шампанського на них не закінчується. Насправді він тільки починається.

За великими брендами ховається цілий всесвіт маленьких виробників grower champagne, де кожна пляшка це характер, терруар і рішення однієї конкретної людини.
