Join us for the extra special PREMIERE SCREENING & PANEL DISCUSSION of ‘TALES FROM THE 2166 - Thập Cẩm Đặc Biệt, a documentary series by VŨTRỤ inc. on Sunday 15.11.2026 at the Powerhouse Parramatta. We have been working on this project from early last year and are now so excited to share five short films with our community here in Sydney, it’s truly such an honour to platform a wealth of Viet excellence at the museum. Expect a combination of holiness, joy, craft, wisdom and perseverance. Tales from the senseis we met along the way, brought to you in 4K Ultra HD. * Date: Sunday, 15 November 2026 * Time: 4-6PM * Venue: Vitocco Family Kitchen, Level 4, 34 Phillip St, Parramatta NSW 2150 * Ticket: $15.00 per person. Limited tickets available for purchase in the Link in Bio.   The premiere screening will be followed by a panel discussion with the filmmakers, writer and researcher Sheila Ngọc Phạm @birdpham, curator and artist Gillian Kayrooz, and participant Ben Nguyen.  ‘TALES FROM THE 2166’, is a documentary series exploring Vietnamese-Australian life in Cabramatta and Canley Vale – the heart of postcode 2166. Created by art collective VŨTRỤ inc. and commissioned for Powerhouse Parramatta. The series follows community figures, small businesses and cultural practices across the South Western Sydney postcode area. Featuring celebrated voices including chef and artist Ben Nguyen, jeweller and seamstress Mai Anh Nguyễn, singer and MC Cẩm Hằng Lương, hairdresser Khoa Đăng Phạm and the temple community of Họ Đạo Cao Đài Sydney. AT BEAMS HARAJUKU: First Vietnamese brand stocked at the ultimate Asia-Pacific streetwear pop-up Last weekend, in the heart of Tokyo's Harajuku fashion district, BEAMS Harajuku Annex became home to one of the freshest Asia-Pacific streetwear gatherings in recent history. Hosted by 108Warehouse × Hamer’s Wholesale under BEAMS FUTURE ARCHIVE, the pop-up brought together independent labels from Australia, South Korea, Japan, Thailand and Vietnam. Vũtrụ inc. proudly represented Saigon, Vietnam. Alongside brands like Pseushi, Del Saato, Killjoy, Entripaper, Quispiam Habilis, Small Nest & Den Souvenir. A little about BEAMS, the tastemaker... Founded in 1976, BEAMS isn't just a retailer, it's one of the defining institutions of Japanese fashion. For nearly five decades, it has shaped contemporary style through an unmatched mix of in-house labels, rare global imports and cult streetwear brands, earning a reputation as one of the most respected names in fashion retail. With almost 160 stores across Japan, to be stocked by BEAMS is to be recognised by one of the industry's most respected tastemakers. (Highsnobiety, 2025) One of BEAMS' latest initiatives, FUTURE ARCHIVE, is a project dedicated to championing the next generation of fashion. The project serves as a platform for a new generation of designers, brands and collaborators, curating the people and ideas shaping what's next. Rather than simply revisiting archives, the inititiative aims to reimagine and create them. As BEAMS describes it, the goal is to create a "future archive”, pieces that will still hold cultural relevance 10 or 20 years from now. (beams.co.jp, 2026) The Ultimate Tokyo Pop-Up. Under this initiative, Sydney's beloved select store 108Warehouse was invited to host a special Tokyo pop-up in a three-way collaboration alongside BEAMS FUTURE ARCHIVE and Hamer’s Wholesale (Tokyo's No.1 vintage hat dealer). The result was a showcase of some of the most exciting independent brands from across the Asia-Pacific. Wait... but who tf is 108Warehouse? Founded five years ago by a crew of Asian-Australians, 108Warehouse is both a fashion label and select store based in Marrickville, Sydney. Known for technical, archival-inspired garments and a carefully curated roster of local and international brands, they've amassed a cult following while the store has become one of Australia's most respected destinations for independent fashion. By introducing Australian audiences to emerging brands from across Asia and beyond, 108Warehouse has quietly become a bridge between local and international streetwear communities.Our relationship with 108Warehouse goes back to the very beginning, when they hosted our first Sydney pop-up and release in 2023. Since then we've become close collaborators and friends, so being included with them in Tokyo felt incredibly special. Big shoutout to the 108 Bossmans. To also stand alongside so many fresh brands at BEAMS isn't something we take lightly. It feels like a small win for a much bigger Asia-Pacific community built on brotherhood, design and culture.Vũtrụ inc. (translates to Cosmic / Universal) is an art collective and fashion label operating between Saigon and Sydney, founded in 2023 by a group of Vietnamese-Australian artists and designers. Rooted in esoteric and spiritual themes, our designs breathe new life into familiar visuals, transforming overlooked symbols of Vietnamese culture into contemporary garments while paying homage to the visual language that shaped streetwear culture.At a time when Vietnam's independent fashion scene is booming and new streetwear brands are emerging almost every week, Vũtrụ inc. has carved its own lane through high-quality bootlegs that remix Vietnamese religious imagery and everyday cultural iconography. Although Vũtrụ inc. may be the first Vietnamese brand to be sold at BEAMS Harajuku Annex, we are not the first Vietnamese brand to be stocked by BEAMS overall. A quick Google search will tell you that would be Waa. Studios, a Ho Chi Minh City–based label known for its bags and shoes (shoutout to them). But you know what? We'll probably keep saying, "VŨTRỤ INC. DA FIRST VIETNAMESE BRAND AT BEAMS." Lol. Jokes aside, we hope you've enjoyed reading this article. This milestone honestly feels surreal, not just for us but for everyone who's been part of this brotherhood. Vũtrụ inc. began as nothing more than a passion project between two friends just three years ago and we still can't quite believe where the journey has taken us. Stay tuned.
