POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

man, looks like my time is up. i’m truly blessed and forever grateful for sticking with this sport for the past four years in high school. this has been one of the best decisions of my life and i’m happy i’ve committed to this sport. this sport has brought me people i can call family, a second home where everyone is working together, and discipline. i’m very proud of the work and effort i’ve put into this sport. training with people who are faster than me has really helped and developed to the athlete i am today. i’ll never forget the bus rides to a meet / back to the school and the funny moments at practice. if there was one thing i’ve learned about being fast, it would be that your body needs to learn how to be comfortable with being uncomfortable. your body needs to push past its limits in order to hit the goal you’re trying to hit. this sport perfectly teaches you that, not only in track specifically, but with life as well. although i didn’t accomplish all my goals, i’m happy with what i did and the mark i’m leaving behind. i want to thank Coach Ringhauser, Mann, Sohl, and Young for always believing in my abilities and cheering for me when i truly did need it. i want to give special thanks to Coach Mac as well for always believing that i was a sprinter at heart (he was right). although i’ll miss competing at the high school level, i really do hope that more people continue the track and field legacy. the workouts can be tough but when you’re looking back at the sport, you’re not going to remember the workouts, you’re going to remember the memories and the good moments you’ve made along the way. thank you to my seniors who have taught me valuable lessons which i will cherish as life goes on. it’s been an absolute pleasure running for this team and i’m going to miss it. the moments i’ve made on this team will be stories to share to others. thank you East Meadow Track and Field (and i guess cross country). ❤️‍🩹
