Youth Track and Field & Cross Country in East Cobb / Marietta GA 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Significant drop in temperatures and some very tricky traffic with 285 and I-20 closures, didn’t stop these kids this Saturday at the Trojan Elite XC Meet. 28 teams to compete along side and Walton Youth showed up putting all our training to the test. This was a great preview for the USATF State Championship course and our athletes really brought their best!

Congratulations to the 8U boys, 9-10 girls, and 11-12 girls for first place team placements, and to our 9-10 boys for their second place team placement! Cannot wait to see how these runner deliver at our Walton Home Meet Oct. 31st.

Wingfoot Classic — what a morning for Walton Youth Running Club!

Our boys and girls took on a tough, fully exposed course in the heat and still delivered fantastic times across the board. Huge shoutout to our Group 1 athletes, who brought home 1st place team finishes, notably Callan W., Daniel B., Valerie L., and Iris L. for placing top 10.

And to our Group 2 athletes for strong, determined performances all the way through, notably Riley P., Antonella P., Isioma O., and Wynne J. For placing top 10.

A great way to kick off a well‑earned fall break - rest up, recharge, and we’ll see everyone back next week ready for more.

More highlights from the Alpha Crush meet:

Weeks of work, a hot course, and a team that showed up anyway. Love seeing their effort pay off. Awesome job out there, team!

Busy Saturday for our Walton Youth Runners!

We had athletes competing all over the map — and in every kind of weather.

In the Cobb County Middle School Championship XC meet, our runners powered through pouring rain, puddles, and a soaked course. Meanwhile, the rest of the team took on the Alpha Crush Developmental XC meet, battling afternoon heat and rolling hills.

Both groups showed up with strong times, great placements, and the kind of grit that sets the tone for the season. What a way to kick off the 2026 XC Developmental Season!

See everyone at practice — next stop: Wingfoot!
