Back in February, we met an awesome couple in Moab, UT and got the incredible opportunity to have a sunset photo shoot in Canyonlands National Park. •

We hit it off with Lauren and Travis from @lovelorraine.co over beers and then bonded over late night karaoke in a sketchy dive bar 😂 •

Of course the Sixth Floor Museum was closed on the day we could go check out Dallas, but we still had a good time walking around and exploring the JFK memorial and other parts of the city. •
•
After spending a few hours in Dallas, we headed to the Christmas Capital of Texas— Grapevine! They were having their annual lightning of the Christmas tree extravaganza so we were excited to get to witness it. •
•
The whole town looked like Clark Griswold personally decorated it (in the best way) and they even had a snow machine dusting the town with flurries to really enhance that Christmas feeling. 🎅🏽 •

Last night we had a true Texas experience when we visited the Fort Worth Stockyards National Historic District. 🤠 •
•
We started off the evening watching a long horn cattle drive down the middle of the street! They do this *everyday* at 11:30 am and 4:00 pm. We didn’t even know this was a thing and just happened to get there right in time to see it. The steers are HUGE and they just casually walk down the road while the drovers guide them along. •
•
After walking around perusing the many stores and restaurants and listening to some live country music, we headed to the Cowtown Coliseum for the world’s only year-round rodeo! •
•
If you’re in the Fort Worth area, you have to check out the Stockyards. “From the original brick walkways to the wooden corrals, every inch of the Stockyards tells the true history of Texas’s famous livestock industry.” •

Last year when we were traveling through Texas, I found Palo Duro Canyon State Park and just HAD to camp there. I mean, it’s the second largest canyon in North America, so obviously we needed to go. •
•
At that time we had been on the road for less than a month, so I really had no idea how popular state parks were or how quickly (and far in advance 🤯) they book up. When I couldn’t get a reservation during the time we needed, I was so bummed and felt like we’d missed our only opportunity to see this awesome place. •
•
Almost year later, when we decided to return to Texas for Thanksgiving with Caleb’s family, I immediately started looking for a camp site at Palo Duro Canyon. Even though I was put on the wait list, I was confident we would get a spot. My optimism paid off (it usually does 😉) and we got to spend three nights camped inside the canyon and exploring the town of Amarillo, including Cadillac Ranch and the famous Big Texan Steakhouse 🥩 •

Have you ever thought you missed something awesome only to get the opportunity to experience it later? •

Some of our best friends from Georgia came to visit us when we were in Nashville and it was so much fun! •
•
@dchappy had big plans to come see us when we were in California but, ya know, COVID. It was sad to have to cancel our plans, but I knew she would eventually make it to me 🤗•
•
We laughed, we ate, we drank, we walked, we talked, we thrifted, we (aka only one of us 🤪) got diarrhea’d on by a flock of birds and was super dramatic about it 🤣 but most importantly, we really enjoyed our time together. •
•
Thanks for coming to see us, friends! Can’t wait to reunite when we’re back home ❤️•

It’s officially been ⭐️ ONE WHOLE YEAR ⭐️ since we set out on this incredible adventure together! 🎉 🥳•
•
In the past 12 months of full-time RV travel we’ve:
⚡️Driven over 40k miles.
⚡️Visited 27 states.
⚡️Explored 31 national parks.
⚡️Sheltered in place in Utah for 3 months during an (ongoing) global pandemic.
⚡️Bought a new RV and sold our old one.
⚡️Connected with family and friends in different parts of the country that we may have not been able to see otherwise.
⚡️Met SO MANY amazing people in the RV community, as well as locals from countless places we’ve stayed! •
•
To say this year has been a whirlwind would be a complete understatement 😆, but we’ve had THE BEST time and wouldn’t trade it for anything! •

Our short but sweet trip to Chicago has come to an end, and I’m so sad about it! ☹️•
•
I think as far as big cities 🌃 go, this has been my most favorite that we’ve visited on this trip!•
•
We sampled all of the famous Chicago foods (thanks for the great recommendations @lbloodworth3 !!) and we both agree the Chicago dog is our favorite 🌭•
•
We’re gonna add this to the list of cities we have to revisit and spend more time in one day.•
•
We’re currently en route to Indianapolis for a few days, so send over some recommendations if you have any for the area!•
