Last weekend we had the privilege of holding the Take a Breath space at Outra and we just wanted to say a huge thank you.

Firstly, thank you to the incredible Outra team for trusting us with this space and for valuing the importance of creating somewhere people could step away, take a moment, and feel supported.

We are grateful to everyone who came through the space. It was beautiful to see people using it exactly as it was intended. Whether you needed a quiet place to sit, a glass of water, a friendly chat, or simply a moment to ground yourself before heading back out, we're so glad you felt comfortable enough to come visit.

One of the things that stood out most to us was the way everyone looked after one another. We saw so many friends checking in with each other, walking each other to the space when needed, and making sure no one was left to navigate a difficult moment alone. That sense of community made our role so much easier and reminded us what these events are really about.

A special appreciation to Lovecamp for the experience and @danmedia for the snap. 📸

Thank you to the take a breath team, Micky-D, Jordan, Nala, every volunteer who helped create a calm welcoming environment and any person who showed kindness to a friend or even a stranger.

We hope everyone made it home safely, with some wonderful memories and a few stories to tell. 💙

Until next time... remember to take a breath. taken in The Brightside Brisbane by @wardwellness3

🌿🌬️ Introducing: @ascendbreath

At OUTRA, the safety, wellbeing, and overall experience of our community are at the heart of everything we do. We believe that creating exceptional music events goes beyond the dance floor, it means fostering an environment where people feel safe, supported, respected, and cared for throughout their entire event experience.

We’re proud to be partnering with Take a Breath Space, facilitated by Matt and Rach from Ascend Breath. This dedicated calm and supportive space has been created for attendees who may need a moment away from the energy and stimulation of the event, offering a place to reset, reconnect, and feel supported without judgement .

As part of our commitment to building a safer and more conscious event culture, the Take a Breath Space plays an important role in supporting community wellbeing and women’s safety at our events. It provides a grounded and accessible environment where attendees can step away from uncomfortable situations, seek support, or simply take a moment for themselves when needed. Whether you need to hydrate, ground yourself, reconnect, enjoy some nourishing fruit, or simply take a breath, this space is here for you. You will also see Matt and Rach throughout the event in Ascend shirts, offering support and helping attendees access the space whenever required.

At OUTRA, we believe music, connection, and community thrive when people feel safe. The Take a Breath Space is one of the ways we’re continuing to prioritise the wellbeing of our attendees and create an event experience where everyone feels welcome, supported, and cared for.
Take a breath, reconnect, and know that there is always a space for you.

As a special dedication to Men’s Health Week, Breath & Fire will be held at Allambee Sanctuary. This event is focused on breathwork, connection, and grounding.

The session will begin with a guided breathwork journey designed to support emotional release, clear tension, and bring awareness back into the body. The experience will move through breath before transitioning into a slower, more relaxing state, supported by sound to help integrate and settle the nervous system.

Following the breathwork, the group will move to a fire surrounded by a lake, giving time for connection, conversation while enjoying some nourishing food. With the option to swim in the lake.

This event is open to all men, regardless of experience with breathwork or group work.
Facilitated by Ascend Breath in collaboration with Ward Wellness.

What’s included:
- Guided breathwork & sound
- Time for connection and conversation
- Grounding fire
- Nourishing food
