🎬✨ Focus on Ability Red Carpet Awards – What an Experience! ✨🎬
Yesterday, we travelled to Sydney to attend the red-carpet Focus on Ability Awards Ceremony, where our film was a finalist in the school category of the Focus on Ability Film Festival! ❤️
Although we were a little disappointed not to take home the award, we are incredibly proud to have been one of the five schools represented at the ceremony. Being recognised among such wonderful entries is an achievement worth celebrating!
👏 Congratulations to Kellyville High School on winning the school category with their fantastic film!
🌟 A special thank you to all media students, who did an amazing job. We are so proud of their efforts, enthusiasm and the way they represented our school!
This experience has been a wonderful reminder of the power of film to share stories, celebrate abilities and bring people together.

🎬🌟We are the finalist of Focus on Ability Film Festival.🌟
We are thrilled to announce that “Take Me Shopping,” a short film created by our Media students, has been selected as a finalist in the School Short category of the 2026 Focus on Ability Short Film Festival!
As a finalist, our film will be screened on the big screen at the Sydney Red Carpet Awards on Sunday, 18 October, alongside films created by filmmakers from around the world.
Inspired by our school’s Mini Woolies program, the student-created sitcom uses humour and storytelling to explore shopping experiences, customer interactions and the practical skills our students develop through authentic learning.
This is an incredible opportunity for our students to experience a professional film festival, walk the red carpet, see their work on the big screen and meet filmmakers, performers and special guests from across Australia and around the world.
We are incredibly proud of our Media students and everyone who contributed to “Take Me Shopping.” We can’t wait to see them shine in Sydney! 🎬🌟

🏉 What a special Footy Colours Day at Cayleys Road!

Today, our students were so excited to meet Western Bulldogs #16, Jordon Croft, and even more excited to pass the footy to him! 🏉👏

There were plenty of smiles, big kicks and happy faces as our Cayleys Road students enjoyed a very special footy moment together.

It was a fantastic day filled with footy, fun and community spirit!

And the footy fun continues tomorrow! 🏉
Everyone across all Warringa Park School campuses is invited to wear their own team colours and celebrate their footy colours with pride.

🧁 Working Together in P02! 🧁
The students in P02 worked together, shared responsibilities and enjoyed creating something they could all celebrate at the end of the term.
It was also a delicious way to finish Term 3 and get ready for our new inquiry topic next term: “How do we choose, prepare and enjoy different foods?”
Through Food Technology, students will have opportunities to build practical skills by learning how to use a range of tools and equipment safely, prepare food, and make choices about different foods.
What a great way to finish one term and start the next! 🧁

It was fantastic to see so many amazing upcycled creations on display at Warringa Crescent. Our students have put so much hard work, imagination and effort into transforming everyday materials into something new and exciting.

Our Inquiry Upcycle Expo is coming! ♻️
This term, our Primary classrooms have been exploring the world of upcycling — turning everyday materials into something new, creative and meaningful.
Our students have worked incredibly hard to design, create and bring their ideas to life, and now it’s time to showcase their amazing work!
This week, classrooms across Warringa Crescent and Polly Parade campuses will be displaying their upcycled masterpieces as part of our Inquiry Upcycle Expo.

💛 R U OK?
This week, our campuses have been celebrating R U OK? Day with lots of fun, connection and joyful activities!
From bubbles and face painting to BBQs, choir, music and dancing, there has been so much happening across our campuses. 🎶🫧
Everywhere we looked, there was yellow, laughter, smiles and happy faces.
Most importantly, it has been a wonderful opportunity for our whole school community to check in with one another, connect and show that we care — while sharing plenty of joyful moments together.
Because checking in doesn't have to be a big conversation. Sometimes, it starts with a smile, a hello, a laugh or simply asking:

Inspired by the diverse students in the class, and the good friends we have, this song is about our support and celebration of our rainbow friends.
At the moment our song is already pretty great, but we think that the addition of Kylie could turn the song into something super special!
We hope that while she’s in town for the @afl grand final she might be able to find some time to visit us at Cayleys Road‽ by @warringaparkschool
