If you had my hair, you’d eventually be sitting around in some dookie braids, a bandana and blue-light glasses trying to figure out when wash day became a full-time job too.

Long hair is beautiful, but it is WORK. And honestly, a huge part of my growth came from leaving my hair alone instead of constantly manipulating it.

The real challenge now is building a routine I can actually maintain while LIFE keeps life-ing. 😂

Don’t stop because it’s uncomfortable. Don’t abandon the plan because you can’t see the whole staircase yet. Take the next step. Make the call. Submit it. Start it. Take the leap.

You can move forward and still wait on the Lord. You can trust Him while your feet are moving.

But discomfort doesn’t always mean you’re in the wrong place. Sometimes you’re being developed there.

Keep one foot moving forward. Keep your eyes open. Wait on the Lord, but live while you wait.

My mama always tells me, stop wishing time would move faster, because you’re also wishing your life away.

2021 → 2026 and the brows are STILL brow-ing. 😭✨

I got my cosmetic tattoo brows done by @luxury_brow_designs five years ago, and baby… look at them after a fresh face wash. 😂

Located in St. Charles and serving the St. Louis, St. Charles + surrounding Illinois area, she has spent years continuing her education, training in places like Chicago, Virginia and Atlanta, and truly studying her craft.

What I love most is that she’s not just talented. She is obsessed with knowing her field, humble enough to keep learning, and genuinely supports the women who sit in her chair.

🔥 Hot Take: 🎥 What Pays My Bills Is Light Work

There’s no cockiness in experience. There’s only confidence.

I’ve been working with cameras since 2020. I earned a Film, TV & Video Production degree. I’ve produced films, managed productions, covered live events, worked in broadcast television, and built content for brands and organizations.

So yes, setting up lights is light work.
Leveling a tripod is light work.
Capturing clean audio is light work.
Building a shot list is light work.
Finding creative angles on the fly is light work.

Not because it’s easy.

Because I’ve done it thousands of times.

Practice doesn’t just make perfect; it makes permanent. 🎥

It’s okay to acknowledge that you’ve become skilled at something. It’s okay to recognize your expertise while still being committed to learning more.

Too many people confuse confidence with arrogance. The truth is, when you’ve put in the reps, what used to feel difficult starts to feel natural.

What pays my bills today used to be the thing I was nervous about trying.

Now it’s just another day at work.

Keep showing up. One day your hardest skill will become your light work. 💡
