There’s something magical about the Mountain Bluebird’s color. 💙✨
Watching the blue pigment bloom on watercolor paper is my favorite kind of meditation. To capture the vibrant depth of these feathers, I used a mix of Cobalt Turquoise, Phthalo Blue, and Ultramarine Deep. These pigments create such a beautiful, natural glow. 🎨🖌️
Tell me, what’s your favorite bird to spot in the wild? 👇

[PR GIFT] When watercolor pigments do the work for you… 💙💜

Creating these deep feather textures for the raven using @supervisionart granulating watercolor in Blue Violet. The way this pigment breaks down on wet paper gives the feathers such an atmospheric, layered feel.

What do you think of using violet undertones for dark feathers? Let me know in the comments. by @watercolor_chaotic

Pure therapy 🐦✨

Painting details is where I find my ultimate peace. Watching this kingfisher come to life layer by layer was such a soothing process.

Magic of separating watercolors

I love watching pigments do their magic on cotton paper. For this kingfisher, I used wonderful separating watercolors from @supervisionart paired with my favorite @paulrubensart palette.

Cozy Moments in progress... 🐦☕️🍂

Sometimes all it takes is a warm cup of tea, a quiet moment, and a little visitor outside the window to feel the magic of autumn. by @watercolor_chaotic

Cozy Moments ☕️🐦🍂

For me, a cozy autumn moment is all about taking a quiet pause with a warm cup of tea and feeding the birds❤️ by @watercolor_chaotic

Waxwing painting process.

Watching the paint flow in water is my favorite part. Autumn is here, and I'm waiting for the first waxwings to visit my garden.

What happens when 5 nature art lovers from different corners of the world come together?
Pure magic on paper!💙

We might not share the same time zone, but we share something much stronger: our fascination with capturing nature through our art.

Today, we’ve gathered virtually to pay tribute to the kingfisher, a beautiful symbol of patience, focus, and freedom. We love the idea that while these birds travel freely across the planet, completely unaware of borders, we are connecting through creativity to break any distance.

Five unique perspectives, five different styles, and one shared love for nature illustration.

We loved working together on this! Did you enjoy our international collaboration?

What bird or theme should we create next?
