Watermark CDC exists to put the love of Christ into action by providing job training and financial support so neighbors in South Dallas and across our city can build steady careers and strong financial futures. 🙌

Since we launched in 2020, by God’s grace, homes and cars have been purchased, degrees earned, careers grown, businesses built, and through it all, many faithful disciples have abided in Jesus together.

North Texas Giving Day is underway, and you can give early!

Right now, nearly 4x as many neighbors are waiting for an opportunity as we have capacity to serve.

At Watermark Community Development Corporation, we believe lasting change happens when people have access to opportunity, resources, relationships, and hope. Through Financial Catalyst, Job Connection Program, and The Business Cohort, we walk alongside our neighbors as they pursue financial sustainability, meaningful work, and thriving businesses.

But today, we must turn away people who are ready to take their next step.

This North Texas Giving Day, we want to create more room.

Over the next few weeks, we’re going to introduce you to some of the people who show us why that room matters.

First, meet Taylor.

Taylor is pursuing her entrepreneurial dreams through The Business Cohort. With the right resources, relationships, coaching, and encouragement, she is building toward a stronger future.

Last week, members of The Business Cohort community gathered for breakfast and a Bible study, spending time in John 17:3 and watching and discussing the story of @drinkpoppi founder, Stephen Ellsworth, through the @faithdrivenentrepreneur video series.

On Saturday, our team had the joy of hosting The Well Well West Festival 2026 powered by APAA - Association of Person’s Affected by Addiction.

The festival is a collaboration of numerous organizations serving neighbors in recovery across DFW highlighted by the leadership of Joe Powell, President and CEO of APAA, and a highly respected figure in the field of peer recovery support services.

Recovery partners are close to the heart of Watermark CDC’s mission as we partner with neighbors who have experienced stability to provide sustainability through empowerment.
