Hi I’m Catie,

I write about things that are in my heart that want to be in the world. I’m a single mamoo to a little kiddo. We live in Naarm, Australia. I make these books with my dearest friends. For that I feel like the luckiest girl on the planet. Hardie-Grant are now taking these books to the whole wide world. Which blows my mind + makes so many of my dreams come true. One of which is that even just one of these notes finds a young person when they need it the most.

I can’t believe this is my job.

These books are so important. Thank you for helping me share them with you.

I posted a tile called Notes To My Future Daughter on @thestaplestore instagram probably 10 years ago now.
Within 6 tiles I was told to publish it into a book. A few years later after the birth of my actual daughter it was crowdfunded and self published. She was two when we opened our first box, at that time I had been a single mama for 11 months. I can remember that moment like it was yesterday - she was on my hip in her Future is Female t-shirt. I opened it in a room full of people I love.

Since then I have hand wrapped, posted, courier + addressed thousands and thousands of books. I have paid our rent with them, bought big + little shoes with them, our groceries and trips to see our family with them.

Now 6 years on they find their second home with Hardie Grant Australia, UK and USA. Ready to see the world.

And one day, I will walk into a home made with the pages of them. I know that this is a big dream, an almost impossible dream. But we have come this far baby. X Catie

I wrote this for my cousin, someone I love with all of my heart. And will for my entire life. Sometimes we say goodbye to people and no one will ever replace them. by @weare_futurelove

I had this really special friend we used to walk every day and she would listen to me in a way that made me tell her problems I didn’t know needed to solve. This note is for her. Being good at listening is a superpower. She has that superpower better than anyone I have ever met. by @weare_futurelove

I asked my kiddo ‘who is the most important person to trust you?’ And she said ‘mama’ and then she stopped and said ‘me, I trust me first, then you’.

A beautiful gift we can give our children is to teach them to trust themselves. And give them a place to always be trusted. by @weare_futurelove
