“Ether” - track 7 from our new album #Wildflower out now

Getting by on wasted time

Take your chances
Circumstances
Of one's self-esteem
Confide in confict
Oozing at the seams

Shaking breath doesn’t sit so well with a handshake
I don’t fake keeping a friend for a keepsake
What’s your shape?
Who’s your maker?
Does it give?
Does it take it?
Does the universe see you at all?

Getting by on wasted time
Doubted by
Wasting mine

What's you shape?
Who’s your maker?
Does it give?
Does it take it?
Does the universe see you at all?

Keeping it all in

Getting by on wasted time
I’ve doubted time
I’ve wasted mine

“The Worst” - track 6 from our new album #Wildflower, out now.

Delay / update / relocate

Surprise - a new lane
Compromised - by a new shame
Combined - with loose name
Roadside - a new new shape

Shapeshifter

Shape - shift
New dimension
Caused by concerning a different view
Blooming - condemning
Shaking it off while you decorate your tomb

Force fed - stay blessed
Recycled bags - something to prove
Too soon, too soon, too soon

Shapeshifter

I seem less like me every day

And who are you now?

“Here and There from Time to Time” - track 5 from our new album #Wildflower, out now.

Tear at my dreams
Sweeten the cream
Brew it up
I’m not feeling myself
Early-morning gospel
Head off to the hospital
We’re all behind you
We’re all behind you now
We’re all behind...

Stargaze at the past
At nothing
Might have been something
But nothing's here now

Cut at the seams, believe a belief
Hunker down, you’ll be here awhile
A heart's beating fast
Just to make your high last
Blow it up, we’re all behind you
We’re all behind you now
We’re all behind...

Stargaze at the past
At nothing
Might have been something
But nothing's here now...

Nothing to find here but your innocence
Being tied down by your consciousness

Stargaze at the past
At nothing
Might have been something
But nothing's here now...

Something
Might not be nothing
But something's here now
Something's around
Or nothing might not be something
But nothing's here now

Hand over your collection of
Thoughts and correlations
Mis-used words and your devastation

Stargaze at the past at nothing
Might have been something
But there’s nothing's there now...

This Wednesday we here at The Lost Leaf are hosting a listening party for @wearehereinspirit. A beautifully creative project which features ex members of Vehemence, Abigail Williams, Last House On The Left, Goldengoat, Wax Castle, and Misery Bloc, to name a few. Here In Spirit steps away from their past onto a shoegaze/post rock landscape, yet still brings the intensity one would only expect from those that emerged from a pedigree of death metal and hardcore punk.

9pm we’ll start their 2019 EP “Past Tense Portrait of a Paralyzed Purpose”.

10pm we’ll then start the new LP they just released, “Wildflower”.

9pm / Free / 21+

“Finding My Way (Out)” - track 4 from our new album #Wildflower.

Not the least bit sorry
For making anyone worry
I’m not a failure today
I might be tomorrow
I'm not smart at all, anymore, I think
If I don’t fuck my life up
There’s a less chance I’ll feel let down

I don’t mess around
Don't even mess around
Spread the word around:
I don’t mess around

Don’t sweat it
I don’t need anyone to find my way out
Won’t let it take me down
Take me down

Fake laughing - acrobats
Start shooting, I’m not listing
Stop shouting and punishing me
I hate telling my story
To me, that’s boring
Tell you that I’m more crazy
Than I already am

I don’t mess around
Don’t even mess around
Spread the word around:
I don’t mess around

Don’t sweat it
I don’t need anyone to find my way out
Won’t let it take me down
Take me down

Don’t sweat it
Just let it out taken in San Pedro, California by @wearehereinspirit

You are listening to “It’s Got to Give”, track 3 from our new album #Wildflower

I get scared at the thought of of being happy
It can’t be real with joy starts overlapping

One bad choice and it’s over
One mistake to blow my cover

It’s gonna give
It’s got to give
And if it doesn’t
I’m not complaining about it at all
To you

Tried and true to me and you
A common sleuth - forbidden truth
Wise answers to a wisecrack anthem
Settled with some child-like banter

One bad choice and it’s over
One mistake to blow my cover

It’s gonna give
It’s got to give
And if it doesn’t
I’m not complaining about it at all to you
Blame yourself
An act of confidence that I’m used to
Not like you planned this out
This world is against you
Isn’t it?

Why are you so happy?
Why are you so sad?

It’s gonna give
It’s got to give
And if it doesn’t
Can’t hear you complain about it at all

Blame yourself
An act of confidence that I’m used to
Not like you planned this out
This world is against you
Isn’t it?
