📣 New dates! 📣 We’re so excited to have the wonderful @ngoni, Founder of sustainable fashion brand @wearekin.co host a 3-week course teaching beginners to sew and make their own patterns! ✂️ What to Expect: - Week 1 (Wed 25th June): Learn how to take accurate measurements and create your own skirt pattern based on the skirt you have brought to the workshop. This session is all about understanding pattern drafting and how to make it fit your unique body shape. - Week 2 (Wed 2nd July): Put your new pattern to work by sewing your skirt! You’ll get practical, step-by-step guidance from Ngoni to help you create a skirt that fits beautifully and looks professional. - Week 3 (Wed 9th July): This session will focus on finishing any remaining sewing on your skirt. If you complete your skirt early, Ngoni will guide you through making a scrunchie or another small accessory using your leftover fabric. 🧵 Course Details: - Duration: 3 weeks (2-hour sessions each) - Skill Level: Beginner-friendly -Materials: All materials provided (fabric, pattern paper, etc.) - you just need to bring your favourite skirt that you want to recreate! Happy International Women’s Day. The theme this year is ‘inspire inclusion’, it is most important for us as womankind to be there for one another, include one another and to support one another. Women’s rights are Human Rights. Depending on where you are our rights and fights look different but they are very much the same they stem from many of the same issues. As it pertains to fashion for brand and clients we’d like us all to remember that female garment workers rights are human rights.
