The Forever King Tour of China marked the global kickoff of the LeBron XXIII, with @kingjames taking the brand to Shanghai and Chengdu to connect with some of the world’s most passionate basketball fans, marking the 20th anniversary of his first Nike tour of Asia. Perimeter’s full identity system launched alongside it, including the shirt LeBron wore on tour and the campaign that surrounded it. Thank you to the @nikebasketball and LeBron James global athlete brand marketing teams for believing in us. by @weareperimeter
Perimeter created the Forever King booklet for @nikebasketball and @kingjames, a collector’s item chronicling 23 stories across 23 years of his career, each one corresponding to a colorway in the collection. Each moment is written with respect and remembrance, set against some of the most iconic images from LeBron’s career. The print craft is meticulous, with multilingual typesetting throughout, designed to live inside the packaging as its own artifact. The shoebox, insoles, and hangtags extend the Forever King identity through every layer of the unboxing. Presenting the Forever King brand identity for @nikebasketball and @kingjames Nike came to Perimeter with an ask as big as the man himself, to design a brand built to honor LeBron’s 23rd signature shoe and endure long after it in a way that redefines the relationship between luxury and performance. We developed a visual strategy rooted in a single truth: LeBron didn’t inherit his crown, he earned it. His identity is designed to honor his legacy of success, a mark strong enough to be etched in stone, and striking enough to be cast in metal. The stacked wordmark builds on LeBron’s existing Nike logo composition. The typographic system pairs serif and sans serif, balancing heritage and sport in equal measure. The crown icon is set within a circle to signal permanence, and even lives on the heel of the shoe itself. Here’s a closer look at the @sandiegowavefc visual identity, including primary crest, secondary marks, custom typography, and color scheme. The crest is a symbol of strength for the city and team to proudly stand behind. A powerful wave, cresting in the rich blues of the Pacific Ocean, sits front and center as the iconic mark of Wave FC.  And under the proud banner of the city’s name, are the vivid colors of the horizon, celebrating the beauty, fun, and vibrant culture of the city and its people. We’re thrilled to officially present the complete brand identity for @sandiegowavefc When San Diego was granted expansion in @nwsl, we were approached by ownership to establish the club name and visual identity. After a deep-dive exercise into America’s Finest City and intense collaboration with local community members and stakeholders, we created San Diego Wave FĂčtbol Club, a brand designed to empower women through the global game, take an underserved market by storm, and appeal to a diverse region. The results have been amazing, with Wave FC breaking records on and off the pitch, and its stars representing @uswnt on the world’s stage. Let’s Go Wave 🌊 by @weareperimeter
