"Hey, remember me? We were kids together. Will you marry me?" 🦊💖🦊
.
Anyone who has followed me for a minute knows this was the obvious choice for me for #childhoodcrush (or maybe you just wondered why I draw anthropomorphic foxes so often 🦊🤣). They also were each other's childhood crush, so just perfect all around.

"Style largely depends on how the chins are worn. They are worn very high just at present." -Lady Bracknell, The Importance of Being Earnest
.
I think this may be my favorite thing I've ever done. Over the last few months, I've been in a production of The Importance of Being Earnest which closed yesterday. I was commissioned to draw our director as a fox in a Victorian fashion book style. 🦊
.
It was so fun picking references to the play to add (the muffin and the handbag with Miss Prism's initials) and little details like the unicorn cameo. My director always has a unicorn in every play she does. 🦄
.
Is there a person or character you want foxified? Stay tuned for a commission link coming soon (or shoot me a DM in the meantime) 👀🦊

Axolotl!
.
When I saw this prompt, I immediately thought of a friend of my kiddos. She LOVES axolotls and, when I first met her, was carrying a large Squishmallow axolotl. OBVIOUSLY, I had to ask her for inspiration. She sent me the adorable character design on the 3rd slide. I had so much fun drawing her in my style!

✨Dolly ✨

In honor of her passing, I decided to give a glow up to my 2 year old Dolly mermaid from #mermay2024 (shout out to @mermay_official 🥰) swipe to see original!

Doing this was such a fun project and so encouraging to be able to so clearly see my growth as an artist over the last 2 years. (Let's pretend the hands both look amazing, okay? 😅)

The world is a dimmer place without Dolly in it, we all need to shine brighter to make up the difference 🥰✨

🎶Ride on the Magic Wal-bus🎶
Poor Arnold, he really should have stayed home today.
.
I couldn't think of a more iconic crew than the Frizz, the bus, and kids. I went on so many crazy field trips with them as a kid 😍✨ I almost only did the wal-bus, but I couldn't pass up the opportunity to draw a Ms. Frizzle dress as a tail. 🧜🏻‍♀️

Idk, I think she's bummed I drew her with my #nondominanthand 🧜🏻‍♀️
.
Honestly, this prompt makes me want to draw with my off hand more often. I kept giggling. It felt so much like playing and removed all the pressure. I wasn't about to try making a fully realized piece this way, so just a silly sketch today.

The Morrigan
.
#merthology a day late buuuut, I'm pretty pleased with it. I couldn't decide between red and black hair (she's depicted both ways), so I decided share both. She also usually has real raven with her and not ghostly ones but I really liked how my white pencil sketch of them looked against the backdrop so I rolled with it. Painting the seascape was VERY trust the process. I haven't done a stormy ocean before and it definitely looked insane for a bit 😂
.
Also, like, who needs a consistent style? 😅 I'm sure I'll find what feels best to me eventually, but I'm still enjoying playing with style and technique so much to settle anywhere.

*whispers* yay 😊

Fluttershy is absolutely my favorite pony and the obvious choice for me for #MyLittleMerPony. She's so sweet and strong 🥺 this design is inspired by her Equestria Girls iteration and, of course, I had to include her little buddy Angel 🐇💕

"We're all mad here"

This one isn't quite matching the vision in my head which is very annoying. But! I don't hate it so here we go. Drawing the creepy teeth was very fun, I must say.

.
Get it? Cause they're called Mon Calamari?? And it's a squid??? Get it?!?! Idk guys. Choices were made. 😅 I have no regrets and I now understand why @megsmashables giggles so much while she works 🤣 This was so incredibly fun to make.

Well, hello! 😘
.
Hooray for #Mermay2026 🧜🏻‍♀️ For #hello I thought a mermaid being caught accidentally (or maybe purposefully? 👀) would be fun. As I was looking for inspo, I was annoyed by how many of the images, especially the older ones, were super silly, unattractive, and/or devious looking men catching absolute BOMBSHELL mermaids. So I thought, why not redo one but make it 🌈👩‍❤️‍👩
.
If you swipe through, you'll find the original piece. I'm sadly unsure who the original artist is, it was on a random postcard website.
.
I'm so excited for MerMay!! I can't wait to see everyone's pieces 😍🧜🏻‍♀️
.
Thanks @mermay_official for hosting another exciting year!
