This morning we received new that we have a federal registered trademark for my Wedding Ceremony Master Class for Friend Officiants!

About half of all couples in the US are asking a friend or family member to officiate their wedding ceremony because they want the moment to be personal, memorable and with someone who loves them. My @weddingceremonymasterclass takes a friend officiant through my steps to create and perform a heart filled ceremony so that the moment will be memorable for all the right reasons.

Same Day Rehearsal

Over the past decade, I’ve preformed almost 700 weddings and most of those (like 98% of them) have been with a same-day rehearsal. The idea of a traditional different-day rehearsal is still engrained in most of our ideas and expectations about what we need to do leading up to a wedding, but the landscape of how we celebrate, who marries us and who is included has expanded so much over the last decade, it’s time to update this expectation too.

Congratulations to Favorite Uncle Officiant Thomas McNamara who delivered two of the most often overlooked wedding ceremony lines in this beautiful @hollyhedgeestate wedding. The person who presides over a wedding ceremony has to do way more than read from a script, they should be aware and connected to the crowd and confident in their role enough to go off script if needed.
