I cannot believe it’s been one week since you left. I feel like the wind got knocked out of me. I still feel so much shock. It’s just so hard to believe that you aren’t here anymore. I miss your light. I miss you.

I’m getting excited that it’s finally fall. I used to lament this transition. I would long for long summer days and bemoan it’s inevitable end. Maybe it’s being in Utah the last while that changed that for me. The gorgeous colors in the mountains, the cool crisp air, the changing leaves, making piles and jumping in the crisp leaves ( that were always soaked in Oregon). Maybe it’s because fall is my mother. Her birthday is in October and she loved this time of year. She loved all things fall and Halloween. It may have been her second favorite holiday (after Christmas, of course). This time of year brings me closer to her. Being near and in the month that brought her into this world brings her to the forefront of my mind and I can feel her all around me in a deep way. by @weedpratt

I was able to bribe my giant woman child with pizza to come to the park. She hasn’t left the house in a very long time. I was pleasantly surprised when she decided to actually play with the boys for awhile. I love this person so much. She is growing so quickly right before my eyes. Sometimes it feels like she is practically grown. Sometimes I tell her that I wish I could spend just a day with baby Alice. I often tell her that she’s not allowed to grow any more and ask her if she would kindly stop. She just rolls her eyes at me and reminds me that she only has a couple of inches to go before she’s taller than me. #alicemichele by @weedpratt

I was just thinking about how grateful I am to have been able to spend this last weekend at a loss mamma’s retreat with @amothersnature. It was a beautiful weekend in Sundance. I loved being able to be with other women who have had a similar loss. Being able to spend three days talking about Mirabel and her tiny life was healing. We spent the weekend connecting, talking openly about our experiences, referring to our babies by name, and participating in healing activities. I feel a special bond with the women that I met there and loved being with them and getting to know their angels through them. Thank you @mandystyled for being you. Thank you for gathering these strong women together year after year so we can lean on each other and support one another in grief. #mirabellyn by @weedpratt

Alice turned 11 on the sixth. 11 whole years with this girl. She got accepted into Hogwarts and got her owl 😉. All she really asked for were books so we made sure she got plenty of those. But she also got fun Harry Potter related things as well. She picked what she did for the day and all she really wanted was to stay in and binge watch one of her favorite shows (a true introvert). This is the first year that she didn’t want a blue dress. I’ve been buying her what I call an Alice blue gown (from the song) every year since her first and this year she didn’t want one 😭. Kinda bitter sweet but she is definitely growing and her tastes have changed quite a bit from when she was a little girl. She is becoming a woman right before our eyes and it is amazing and breathe taking to witness but also heart wrenching. I often imagine scooping up toddler Alice in my arms and giving her a big kiss on her chubby cheek (she will not allow kisses anymore 😊). I have loved being Alice’s mom and I am grateful that I get to be her mom forever. She is going to do great things in her life and I am grateful every day that I get to help facilitate that as I help her learn and grow. Happy Birthday baby girl. #alicemichele by @weedpratt

Ezra has been riding a balance bike for the last couple of years. Last week we pulled out this bike with pedals and he basically got on and started riding. It was very exciting. I guess the whole balance bike thing works. #ezrawoodrow by @weedpratt

Baby boy turned 9 years old today. It’s a little bit hard to believe. He wanted monkey bread for breakfast, and sushi for dinner. Friends drove by to wish him a Happy Birthday and we had cake and ice cream and presents. This boy is an absolute delight and joy to have in our family. We just truly adore him. Quarantine birthdays are a little bit weird and sad but we tried to celebrate him all day and make sure that he felt loved. #parleyweed by @weedpratt
